This place is really great very authentic Mexican cuisine. I got the birria tacos and the only thing that was missing was just the melted cheese. Otherwise it was fantastic. A tad bit pricey though.

It is authentic Mexican food.We ordered Menudo, Pozole, Roasted Beef Quesadillas, and Tacos al Pastor.Everything was delicious! The Jamaican fresh waters and rice are super delicious. What can I say about the hand-made tortillas...they are thin, soft and delicious.I highly RECOMMEND this place to eat delicious food, in an environment that can be enjoyed with family and friends.

The food is really great here overall.I wish they served beer, but the lady said coming soon. The queso birria was a tint bit overcooked on one side but it was still very flavorful. The chicken taco was good and the the rice and beans were average. It was a little pricey but food was good.

Decent flavor for the carnitas, bland rice and beans in the burrito. Really enjoyed that the tortilla was somewhat crispy. Not too greasy. I don't think it's worth $14 for a burrito.

It was my birthday, and family tradition says the birthday-ee gets to choose dinner. I was going to hit my favorite Mexican restaurant, but in my mind, molcajete came up. A quick Yelp review showed that Eliza's had recently opened. It wasn't in the core of old downtown, so it's a little tough to find. It's next to a Hispanic grocery. You walk in and go to the counter to order. The menu is perfect. There aren't a million things to go through. We got some guacamole and chips, tacos, a torta and the molcajete. I got a medium horchata to drink. We found a place to sit and a cute little fella came to deliver our chips and salsa. The salsa was fresh, and very clean tasting. I enjoyed it a lot. After a while the guacamole came out with chips... it was a hit. I little on the spicy side, but it was fresh, no doubt. While we waited, a mariachi singer came in and sang... and boy did he sing. He was fantastic. We absolutely loved the intimate concert. It took a while, but our food came. My wife had the tacos and loved them. The torta, for the 13 yr old, was great his only complaint was it was a little too toasted. The meat was fantastic. The food was legit. If you've never had a molcajete, it's an experience. The thing is a flaming hot stone bowl,(no touchy, it's hot,) filled to the brim with shrimp, strips of grilled chicken, Carne Asada, cactus leaf, cheese, onions, and some jalapeno strips. They bring it to you hot as can be in a boiling stew of a tangy green sauce. It's not cheap, but it could easily feed 2-3... The horchata was great. I enjoyed it, it was totally refreshing. The food came and so did the songs, BTW, if the guy we heard tonight is singing, you need to show up. He's seriously awesome. They were so polite and I really enjoyed it. Here are the things I took a star off for.1. As sweet as the waitress was, she got distracted a few times, and could have paid a little more attention. I am gonna chalk this up to inexperience. We needed a chops refill a few times, and there were only two tables filled tonight. 2. It was pricey... but worth it. 3. This is NOT fast food. Plan on a long wait. Understand though, that you are getting some made to order food, not just a scoop of something out of a bucket. There were a lot of people making food, so it was weird to have it take that long... the singer made it ok.. because he was fun to listen to. 4. They could serve and refill water, instead of selling water . The kids wiped out their water bottle in minutes. All in all, the things they can improve on didn't impact the quality of the food. It was REALLY good. We will be back... I think that they will continually get better and faster. With the quality of the food, I'm shocked this place wasn't packed.

This place is a small family owned restaurant, and it is absolutely amazing! This is one of the most authentic places ive been outside of Mexico. If you want to taste food from Mexico City you need to try Eliza’s, you will not regret it. My husband and I tried this place last weekend and fell in love, we’re here for the second time tried different things from last time and everything tastes absolutely amazing. Our absolute favorite so far is the queda bierra taco, the al pastor tacos are amazing!
