We had to poke our heads inside this lovely candy shop! Immediately upon walking in, the sweetest German lady (Hermine of course) came up to us and offered us a free sample of her marzipan. It was AMAZING. Almondy perfection. She was so sweet and even gave us a little treat for our toddler. We bought one of her marzipan apples and took in all the lovely German decorations and clocks on the walls. It was a lovely experience.

Great selection of German sweets and pastries. Hermine specializes in marzipan - if the only marzipan you've had is American, you're in for a treat! She also offers a wide selection of fancy cuckoo clocks.

Overpriced. Marzipan was more like just almond paste.

She is so nice and everything is beyond delicious! I'd never had marzipan before and now I'm hooked. The truffles are to die for!!

What a discovery! This is a gem of a place with the best marzipan I’ve tasted in many years - I used to have a German girlfriend and she has a fantastic bakery, so I know what I’m talking about. The lady who owns the place, and bakes everything, also makes a genuine gingerbread and amazing apple strudel.

A place "to go" if you have a sweet tooth. Purchased several items, and all were excellent. We will visit again when back this way

Do yourself a favor and get a taste of Hermines delightful and delicious goodies! The only thing better than her scrumptious treats is Hermine herself. Such a kind and welcoming Lady, you'll be glad you went.

My mom has been making German food since before I was born. If you want an authentic German baked good, this is your stop.

Oh it's all so tasty!Have you been thinking of going here and trying it? Don't wait!Seriously, I kept driving past here for years and thinking "I'll go in one day" but I finally did it. Everything here is delicious!

Her goodies may be the best but I am NEVER going back in there, she is the rudest old woman! I knew her well and used to get her strudel quite frequently, it was $5 a slice and she often gave me an extra slice for the price of one! I had not been in since covid hit and walked in last Spring, I was quite surprised to see that her strudel was now $10 a slice, asking what happened to the good old $5 days? She totally lost it, and went on and on telling me how she had to pay for her store and I was lying, her strudel NEVER was $5, WOW!!! There were two other customers in there looking as surprised by her outburst as I was. I am NEVER going back in there!

Wanted to fall in love with this unique little business. The proprietor, I would guess Hermine, is difficult to understand but very nice. Very limited selection of items so we got a slice of strudel and a mini marzipan torte cake. Strudel was good, definitely not amazing, and I don't need to get it again. Chocolate topped marzapan torte cake was good. Items are extremely expensive, $20.00 for the two items, and, sadly, I will probably not go back as this is the type of business I would not frequent once a week or even once a month ( I'm not craving either one and the costs are prohibitive to make regular visits ). Still looking for an amazing bakery in CdA or Post Falls.
