So good. Can't wait to go back. I have eaten a lot of ramen and this place has earned the top spot with my taste buds. Eat here and you will be happy.

This is a tough one because I really love the other restaurants operated by this group. This was my first visit to Midtown Monarch and I wanted it to be great. The maopo tofu, which is an appetizer, is really probably enough for an entree, was really good and a nice deal at $8.00 (nice portion of spicy pork and tofu over rice). The takoyaki, which are deep fried, chopped-up octopus balls, were really interesting and very unique (I liked them but not sure I have to have them again). We ordered pad Thai for our main entrees and portion size was healthy. They were a little spicier than I would have liked and not particularly good nor flavorful beyond the spice. Had a great canned mango cider. Food was out quickly and service was good.. Overall, probably grades out at a B- (pad Thai a C). Probably should have got a Ramen dish and will probably give it another try because we DO NOT have enough decent restaurants in North Idaho.

Not good compared to Ramen in other towns. We are from out of state and we're excited to try Ramen, but we won't be coming back here again. They are also pushing a lot of political agendas. Really annoying when companies do that. Avoid.

This was one of the only ramen spots we could find near our Airbnb in town and we were surprised at how bad it was given the good reviews! Both ramen came out quite late, the broth was watery, and the noodles were over cooked. We couldn't even finish half of them. Not worth the money and not worth the calories.

It was not good, was really looking forward to some good ramen based on reviews but it was bland and not at all like good ramen I've had. The egg was cold, the ramen I ordered was supposed to be spicy and there was no spice. The waitress seems irritated from the moment we walked in. Don't waste your money.

I had the G-star ramen with an order of Yakitori skewers to-go. The noodles’ texture was nice and chewy, flavorful. I loved how the pork belly and veggies were diced, evenly distributed with every bite. Definitely get broth on the side! The pork broth added the perfectly balanced, savory, umami flavor - very good ? will be back!

What a gem to find here in Midtown area of Coeur d’Alene! Deep, rich broth with a wonderful selection of all different things you can put in your Ramen. Buddha bowls also wonderful. Definitely, check it out!

Wow! Don't go here for lunch! We waited an hour to get a bowl of ramen. When we asked about the wait, we were told take out orders are filled first. Our server didn't even apologize for the wait! Ramen was tasty....but not worth the wait!!!

Really didn't enjoy our ramen. The broth had very little flavor. The egg in the ramen was cold. The overall experience just was not good. Out of 6 ramens ordered only 1 finishes his.

I'm so happy we found this place while visiting C'DA. My husband and I were greeted and seated and had excellent service from Brittany. There were many gluten-free options for me, which was a relief! I had a hard time choosing what to get because so many menu items looked delicious. It was a Buddha bowl for me and ramen for my husband. We both did a "build your own" option. We will definitely come back again when in town and highly recommend this spot. Friendly staff, delicious food and good vibes - plus our last big trip was to Japan and it was nice to have a little taste of Japan.

I have gone to Monarch Ramen for about 5 times this past winter and every time I go I try something new. I have always been surprised by joy. It is also always piping hot, something you rarely see these days. The service is excellent and I am so happy to have stumbled upon this wonderful restaurant and the magic it brings to my palette and my tummy. Fabulous place. Not like what you would find in San Francisco or Japan, but they do a dang good job!

The yakisoba is outstanding. The owners of this restaurant own some of the best in town without a doubt. They have a sushi restaurant as well and an amazing New-American/fusion/f2t called midtown bluebird. If you ever get a chance to try any of them you WILL NOT BE DISAPPOINTED!

Either they don’t know what Pad Thai is or they gave us the wrong order (ordered to go). What I got tasted like Asian beef stew. No cilantro. No peanuts. Weird wide noodles. No salt. Pad Thai is supposed to be sweet, salty, savory, and spicy. This was bland short rib (that were surprisingly cooked perfectly) with some noodles. Like Campbell’s opened up an imitation Asian restaurant in CDA. The girl behind the counter also rolled her eyes at my wife when my wife, having already waited an hour, asked how much longer it would be. I’ve lived in big cities, I can handle rude people behind the counter, but you better stick the landing with the food. Won’t go back.

For being one of the few ramen places in Coeur d'Alene it definitely stands out to me. It has a wonderful cozy atmosphere and service is quick and respectful. The food is wonderful. I've been told a dish or two leaves some to be desired but the ramen has always been delightful

Got ramen for take out to cure my night before choices. (You know ramen and pho will save the day right?!). I called in to pick up and you hey were on time. Small inside. Not overwhelming. Dora the CDA price range. Was flavorful and did the trick.
