Best Sushi in North Idaho. The large sashimi is always fantastic. Order extra squid

We love Syringa! We will be back...but, I'm an honest reviewer! The service was lackluster. Our server greeted my wife at the door, ask how many and then turned around and walked away....oh, follow you ...lack of communication. Same thing happened several times at our table too... literally walked away when I was in the middle of a sentence. ?We ordered a side salad...a bunch of it was old and wilted. If it was more than 5 bucks, I'd have returned it.The rest of our food, the Sake Raaka and Poke were great, as expected. My salmon skin hand roll was also good. Not usual for us to have an issue here, so...it happens.

The food was great no matter how long it took to get it(45min-1hr) although the eel was rather chewy which is a sign that is not fresh. And their water has a weird taste.

First time trying this place. Kenzie was server and pretty quick! We eat sushi couple times a month back home. The mountain log. Mochi ice cream dessert. Potato leak soup, gyorka with crab was AMAZING. And their vegetable fried rice is delicious!

Food and service were excellent, menu looks amazing. I'm picky; I am far more likely to criticize than to praise. This place is legit.

Food was really delicious and fresh, only downside was our server. Extremely passive and rude, we also had hair in one of the nigiri and to top that off he ignored us the whole service came over once, gave water to every single table around us but not us when our glasses were empty. We kept looking around for him wanting to order something, walked by our table so quick that I couldn’t even get a word out he did this multiple times. Too bad I would come back but the whole vibe was ruined because of one service

Service was very good, that's the only reason for the 2 stars. There is far better sushi in CDA/Spokane. I didn't think you could screw up spicy tuna but they did, they put a weird "seasoning salt" on the rice that completely overpowered the tuna. The tempura was over breaded and greasy, the gyoza had a tough filling that reminded me of a dry meatball, they were also fried to death. The Dragon roll was ok but lacked any kind of flavor, we will not be back.

I had asked our realtor to suggest a fun place for a GNO in CDA. Our plans fell through but when I needed to go down to CDA for a few appts I asked our 2 youngest girls to find a place to eat (that we'd all enjoy and would fit our dietary restrictions). When they said syringa I remembered Kevin's suggestion. We got there right when they opened and the parking lot was already filling up. We were one of the first people in and while it took a while to get our drink order and food order in the server was funny and personable. When I ordered a hot house sake she came back and told me unfortunately they were all out of hot sake which was disappointing but of course a first world problem. I then asked for a Pinot Grigio & she told me they didn't carry it but suggested the wine I'm attaching it was delish! We also ordered several gluten-free items including the brussels sprouts and Shishito peppers. Both were yummy. The smoked salmon and salmon skin roll were ok but not special. The ambience though was super fun! This would be a great restaurant for a day or night date.

Absolute staple (restaurant) for my family.*I want to add that the only reason for the lower score on service is due to a mathematically average. Usually, the service is 5 stars! Unfortunately, on this particular visit, it was a 1 star. Sarah is an absolute Rockstar and is typically the server we get, 5 stars!! However, on this visit, we had someone else. Maybe it was an "off night" for our server. I am the first to admit that being a Great server is much harder than people seem to acknowledge. *
