“5 stars all the way, this is the 8th sushi restaurant I've sampled in the Treasure Valley. By far the freshest sashimi I've had yet. Very impressed with the quality of ingredients and the service was excellent. This is my new go to sushi spot.“
“I'm obsessed! Definitely recommend the boise sushi burrito and the chicken katsu! Or you can get wild and totally make your own up! So good! The perfect amount of food so you don't leave in a rice coma. Would be awesome to pick up before heading to the lake or the river for the day, just throw it in a cooler!“
“Ok, consider me IMPRESSED. Upon arrival I was like “ummmmm where are we!?” But this is such a cool concept. I prefer not sitting down in a restaurant currently as I have an unpredictable 2 y/o that sometimes has no chill. Take out is best for us. I was stoked when I saw an ad in the Middleton paper saying there was sushi available in Star. We ordered 5 different rolls on the square ordering site. Our order was brought out just a few mins after we arrived. The presentation was excellent, the rolls all tasted like they had top tier fresh ingredients and the variety was great. I consider myself a bit of a sushi snob as I have lived in some of the best culinary cities in America. 10/10 recommend. I almost didn’t want to review and tell everyone how great it is for selfish reason like having to wait long next time hahah. I hope this place sticks around, it’s a great addition to the food selection between Star and Middleton.Dietary restrictions: You can easily eat here if you are vegetarian, dairy free, or gluten free.“
“I introduced my college-aged daughter to Sakana on Vista a few weeks ago because I LOVE it and she’d never been here. Imagine our delight when we were served our maki rolls on the deluxe wooden sushi boat, complete with dry-ice “steam” and frozen flowers ! It was a spectacular presentation to our superb dining experience! Thank you so much for singling us out for this special exquisite treat! You created yet another lifelong customer with your surprise spoiling! Thanks so much!“
“Went here with my sweetheart tonight for the first time. I LOVED IT! the food was fantastic. Fresh and not overly sauced or surgery. He got sweet amd sour chicken and I got the vegetarian plate. Hostess was super nice ans attentive. Dont let the outside deter you or youll miss out on a true boise treat.“
“Vegetarian options: I didn't see a ton but they did have all veggie rolls with no fish in them.Parking: It's a parking lot that's shared with multiple other places so it can be pretty packed and it's not even because of the place you're heading to It could be the place next door that has a ton of people“
“Came to Fujiama (Meridian location) for lunch today to celebrate my daughter's new job. They have remodeled this building beautifully. It's very pretty on the inside. Boy, the food and portions didn't disappoint. I ordered a bowl of miso, side salad and some sushi. The side salad was a good size portion! The miso was nice and hot with good amounts of nori and tofu! The Cali roll is pretty basic and you can't really mess that up. I did notice some nice acidity to the rice. The inari was great with a good amount of rice in it, it wasn't jammed packed with the sushi rice which was great! The Tamago was a little dry and wasn't the best but that's OK. The staff we friendly and was on top of everything. Great local gem in Meridian for sushi.“
“Exceeded my expectations. It was GREAT food!Very standard open Chinese restaurant atmosphere. This is not a special date atmosphere but an awesome- “let’s go get Chinese food and Sushi” kind of place.Had the Habachi, Broccoli Beef and Christmas roll. All were fantastic!Highly recommended for putting in your food routine.“
“The workers are absolutely lovely- despite how busy they are they maintain their kindness towards customers and provide absolutely amazing food especially for the price. I missed having sushi often from where I used to live and this gave me such a nice experience it reminded me of home- absolutely recommend“
“Most of us had the chicken and filet mignon (cooked to order). If you want, you can even try to catch a shrimp in your mouth when the chef flips it up towards your mouth. It can be done, but not by all. Even the 2 year old was entertained. Plenty of free parking too and easy to find.Parking: Appox. 20 spots behind the restaurant“
“I was so lucky to get to try this place out during my visit to Boise. My uncle who’s lived in Japan is a complete sushi iceberg, and we go nowhere else. I had to have the Godzilla road now I had many other roles and my cousin, to the number of different items the service was incredible!!! The spicy dragon roll was my favorite, but Godzilla you have to try!!! OH NOOOO I SAY YOU HAVE TO GO AND TRY GODZILLA!!“
“I've been to a lot of Sushi places across the country, from NYC to the West Coast. But none have come even close to being as enjoyable as an experience as Shige's. The food was great, the price was reasonable and the service was nothing short of amazing. My only regret is I live out of state, elsewise I'd be stopping by every weekend. Absolutely recommend.“
“Honestly, whether in house or to go, best chicken teriyaki in town. Definitely a must try if looking for chicken teriyaki bowls. My only wish is that they had a scale for spiciness. Asking for them to make it spicy is very chef dependent and usually not enough for what I’m looking for.Parking: I’ve never had an issue finding a parking spot, though sometimes the line at Starbucks interferes with getting into the lot from the north side.“
“Let's be real, this is great-tasting simple dishes served in a strip mall. But you gotta go! The service is consistently top-notch. Staff is friendly and wants you to enjoy your experience. You will find clean tables and chairs in a well-lit dining area. Food is tasty and prepared by cooking who will often wave to you from their busy kitchen. It is fast, yummy, filling.“
