Disappointed that there is not an option for zero stars. The food here is absolutely disgusting! Ordered the Sunday steak special with fries and added shrimp. And I'm cool with a good old Cisco battered fried shrimp, I understand that that's what lots of restaurants need to use but if you fry it till the shrimp has the texture of shrunk burnt eraser you've taken it too far but then put some golden color on the freaking tater tots so they're at least warm in the center. And the one saw one room coed bathroom stinks from the years of accumulated urine from years of drunk folks letting it fly! But let me tell you about the steak, no seasoning, it had the consistency of shoe leather and when I asked the bartender about the lack of seasoning she said to me "We aren't allowed to season anything, because of people with high cholesterol!" May I please remind everyone that this is a dive bar; there is not a soul walking in there on a regular basis that has any concern for their high cholesterol! I asked "how does every other restaurant get away with seasoning their food?" She said back to me with upmost sincerity "I have no idea!!". If you're looking for a spot with some fun character and maybe a good bite while you watch the game...go anywhere but here! They'll bring you greasy gross food, and you'll wait for the staff to have a couple smoke breaks while you wait for drinks and food, and you'll wish home was closer as you walk out as your stomach starts to cramp!Dietary restrictions: If you have high cholesterol they won't salt you food! So there ya go!

Spent an hour here. Waitress checked 1 time and took 9 YEARS TO GET US OUR CHECK. AN HOUR for simple bar food. Wild stuff. Would not recommend.

Was not happy when I picked up an order from the resturaunt to discover they charged me a 20% gratuity on my order for choosing to do a takeout order they never mention that on the phone when you place the order. Food is over priced if you ask me after ordering a $17 burger I was asked if I wanted to order a side of fries your telling me after everything is said and done you want $20 for a burger and fries that's obsurd that's way to expensive for a dive bar

Finally, a flavorful burger!! Our waitress was a hoot and a half! I've tried Red Robin, Scotty's and a few more looking for a delicious burger and this place was top notch! My onion rings were fabulous! Definitely recommend!

The Blue Wave is one of those iconic Idaho Falls spots. They have some of the best burgers in town and plenty of cold beer to go along with it. Everyone who works there is fantastic, just be a little patient. It's not just a bar, they are making fresh food as well.

We went here for my husband’s birthday. We seated ourselves and someone else from our party had to figure out how to order because no one acknowledged we were there for 20 minutes. We finally order, and the waitress, who can see us at the table in front of the bar, does not check on us for an hour (the place was not busy, she was just talking with people at the bar) even though she could see us at our table. She comes over an hour later and says she lost our order. She does make it up to us by waiving our food and we only paid for drinks. I had asked for no cheese on my burger. I got cheese on my burger. She took it back and the cook (you can see everything in the kitchen, it’s not separated by anything) scrapes off the cheese, throws the patty back on the grill, and then puts it back on the same bun. My burger still had cheese on the side of it.Also, the cook (if this had happened before I got the food I would have left) vapes in the kitchen area, chokes on the smoke, and then COUGHS all over the bar counters and kitchen. He also somehow had a cake (pretty sure it was a cake, not quite sure, but regardless), dug a piece out with his FINGERS, and then ATE the cake from his fingers with it in between his fingers. I was appalled. Idk if it’s illegal to vape inside, especially in the kitchen, but I’m sure coughing all over the kitchen is frowned upon by health codes.The only redeeming quality this place had was the waitress during shift change was very nice and did check on us. The burger was average.Do not recommend. Will not go there again.
