This place is hopping most nights for dinner. The servings have been getting smaller as prices continue to climb.A little loud but over all it is a decent place for some gringo Mexican food.

Came to get tacos at 12:30pm. They were out of steak. This is a poor representation of a taco place.

We have been to Costa Vida many times but each time we go the service and food has been dropping in value. Friday evening we went and stood in line for quite some time. When we finally got to the front and ready to order. The person took my order then before taking my wife's order the manager came and interrupted by having the worker help him with a big online order. So my Nachos that were done were setting by the cash register getting cold and soggy. By the time they filled the online orders or at least some of them my dinner was cold. I would have asked for more but it would have taken too long and I was done waiting.I guess a customer in the restaurant isn't as important as the online customers. Never again!

Ordered delivery. Paid for large chicken salad. Got a small and no chicken. When I called to get it corrected, the individual told me that because it was through doordash , there was nothing they could do about it. Apparently , doordash is supposed to open the container and finger through my salad to make sure the chickens there.?

One of my favorite places to get food. We were running behind schedule to get dinner and arrived at the drive through maybe 4 minutes before closing time and despite 3 cars being in front of us, they got us all the way through in about 5 minutes. And the food was good.

we eat at a Costa Vida 3-5 times a month, usually In Rexburg. But we were shopping In Ammon and stopped for the first time at this Costa Vida restaurant. I remarked to the server that the portions were VERY skimpy on the Sweet Pork salad. He made a smart Alec response! This will be my last time eating here! I highly recommend Costa Vida in Rexburg the large salad Sweet Pork is wonderful and very filling!

I ordered on the app, so I didn't interact with anyone. My advice, if you want everything you order, go in wait in line and order. I walked in picked up my bagged order from the cart and drove back home. When I opened the order, I was missing 3 items I ordered. It was funny because there were receipt tags on each tray, showing what I ordered and what was in that tray. When I opened them, items were missing. I drove across town to get there, so I didn't want to now interrupt what was left of my meal to drive back and explain my wife didn't get the taco she ordered. What's worse, I included a tip, to reward the incompetence! I won't be using the app to order again.

We have always had good food at this location. The employees keep the restaurant much cleaner than other restaurants we've been to in town. You aren't coming here for a massive experience but rather simply a good buffet style Mexican lunch/dinner and this deserves a 4 star rating.

The young crew seemed to be struggling with juggling in person, online, phone and pick up orders. Called in a phone order and was never even asked my name for pickup. At the pickup counter the in-person orders merge and it becomes chaotic and hard to find space to get in there. I waited 35 minutes to pick up a phone order and watched in person orders occur faster. Next time I'll do in person. Food is always great and the service folks were very nice even though you could tell there was a bit of frustration. Two stars for flow, atmosphere and organization.

If you are debating Cafe Rio in the area or Costa Vida...Costa Vida. Cleaner food prep areas, better food. Gluten free tastes better. The only thing I think can be improved is that when you pay extra for extra meat, if they could be a bit better about that. My husband complains that he pays extra and he doesn't get much meat.

So good! I moved to Arkansas 3 years ago, and make a point to hit up Costa Vida when I visit! They're wonderful if you're gluten free. Just let them know when you're ordering.Dietary restrictions: Gluten free friendly! Let them know.
