Came for Easter Brunch at 1:30 today. It was not very good. The food was cold and there was not enough staff. It cost a lot to come here and I am very disappointed to say the least. The $7 mimosa was a tiny plastic cup. Not worth the money. We have been to this Easter Brunch before with the same disappointing results but wanted to give it another try. Not worth the $30. My group had the same complaints.

So where do I start! Honest opinion this place is trash, it's run down and not taken care of, and it starts with the general manager Kirk Hansen, who is by far the biggest douche bag and unprofessional manager I've ever had to deal with through a hotel chain, so it started out I reserved my rooms 2 to 3 months ago and got a set price for those rooms, Hansen calls me two days before my arrival telling me that he won't accept the price that was given to me by the reservation department, claiming that the reservation price was a mistake, so I asked him since it's a mistake it should be on Shilo inn not on the customer. Well he gave me an ultimatum pay this price or I will cancel your reservations. Isn't that illegal? So I agreed to the price since I already had family friends as well as prior military family and friends that flew into town and we're all planning on staying there. During the conversation with Mr. Hansen I asked for customer service and corporate and he chose to hang up the phone on me I called and emailed customer service to report them professional, belittling, and demeaning behavior displayed by the general manager. Now fast forward to the date of my arrival, was just us pulling in the parking lot, we witnessed a drug deal go down, As soon as we enter the lobby The air was stale and stagnant, as well as the entire hotel just stunk, we saw a younger female escorting an older male so we all thought a prostitute and "John" activities were happening I will never be back to the dump, the best thing that Shilo Inns corporate can do is the fire that idiotic, childish GM and bulldoze the entire hotel and start over new!

Kirk Hansen the GM is a piece of S&^%!!!!! We called up 3 months ago to reserve rooms and was given a price of 89 for the night! 2 days before we are set to arrive he calls up and says he cant honor that price and that it would be 149! After a conversation he became a complete asshole and said he would just cancel the rooms!!!We call up the next day to confirm we still have rooms and we did! the very next day when we got there to check in we were not in the system!Kirk Hansen is a jerk and should be FIRED!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!We will NEVER go to a Shilo inn EVER again!

Back in February/March we booked 3 rooms with the Shilo Inn at a rate of $89 per night which included their Military Discount for a one night stay June 3rd. This was during a citywide festival that brings a lot of business and out-of-state'rs to town. A few days before travel, I called to see if I could add an addition room to our reservation. The lady I spoke to verified our reservation and added the room. Two days before we were to travel, the General Manager, Kirk, called us and said that he would not give us the rooms for the originally agreed upon price, and that we could either pay $145 per room, per night or cancel the rooms and go elsewhere. He called us two days before we are supposed to travel, into the middle of a citywide festival that has more than half the city booked up, and threatened to cancel our rooms if we didn't pay almost twice as much! Then, when we called corporate and made a complaint, he deleted the entire reservation from the system to make it look like we had never booked in the first place, so when we showed up, 400 miles from home, they didn't show that we ever had a reservation. Fortunately, I DO still have recorded phone call from a few days prior, where the front desk gal confirms, ok a recorded line, that we did have reservations at that time! We ended up having to pay $265 per room, at another area hotel, just to have a place to stay! What Kirk did is purely extortion, and I'm pretty sure it's illegal and action needs to be taken on the part of this hotel to make sure this never happens to anyone else, and to make amends to us for the stress, fear, harassment, and additional monies we had to spend due to his greedy actions!

This place was incredibly dirty. There were broken windows, trash and dirt in the hallway. When I opened my room door, the lights did not work and a horror movie was playing on the television. I had to use my phone flashlight to find the remote and turn off the TV. A small lamp in the room worked and when I turned it on, I noticed cigarette hole burns in the bed sheets. The a/c blew hot air and there were broken tiles in the shower and bathroom. I went to the front desk and was told I could have a "clean" room instead. I did not stay there and am currently waiting for a reimbursement. This place is scary and dirty. I was told later by a shuttle driver that this is the hotel where drug deals are completed. Do not stay here. The online pictures are misleading.

Rooms are clean but the hotel is getting dated and could use an overhaul. We noticed a few things that are starting to break and could use some tlc. Comes with a free hot breakfast which is really good. The waiter is kind and helpful with information. Seems like they are having a staffing shortage.

Run down. Not worth the price! Absolutely ridiculous for the price in the area. We were just stopping through on off season for a night. For what they charge for a room to look at the river, just go stay in the Marriott or a nicer place for the same price. Shilo inns may have been a nice option in the 90s, but they’ve done absolutely nothing to keep anything up. Dirty! In the pool area there’s used bandaids and hair in the drains. Spa doesn’t have even work. Restaurants were closed the whole time. Spend your hard earned money somewhere else that appreciates guests.

A LOT of health code violations. I'm a former employee, this really is not a hate review, but I did work in the kitchen and there were a lot of health code violations. Things like moldy food actually being used and served.

I used to stay every year at the Shilo Inn when I was a little girl traveling through and when my husband said we had to go to Idaho Falls I was thrilled for the nostalgia. We arrived checked in and the first thing my little boy wanted to do was go swimming! We got ready went to the pool and I was disgusted. The hot tub was a murky green color but the pool looked ok so we let him swim. I had seen that there was a sauna so I peeked in and the drain had foot fungus written all over it. While we were there for less than an hour, one of the other guests let in a group of people that werent staying there and they were there to party. We looked for towels and then noticed the sign that you had to check them out and if not returned THAT night they would charge you 20 dollars PER crappy towel. We also talked to some locals and that were doing a "staycation" and they wanted to charge them sn EXTRA 275.00 dollars for 2 nights just for living in the same area code! A while later my husband noticed people going through my bag! I told them it was my stuff and he continued. I went over and gathered all of my things and told my husband we needed to go. He got our son out of the pool and turned to grab his sweatshirt and it was gone. We went up to our room to shower off the disgusting pool and the drain in the shower had black scum all around it. As we were getting dressed to go complain to the front desk I noticed spaghetti sauce all over the walls. We went downstairs and I showed the pictures and asked to speak to a manager, we were told 8am the following morning, understandable as it was 10:30 at night. The front desk attendant thankfully moved us rooms to a slightly better accommodation. The next morning my husband went to see if by any chance the manager was in or if his sweatshirt had been returned. Nope, no manager until Monday. Could we get his extension that the front dest attendent so gracious told us he had? Nope, we can call and hope to get put through. Her name was Marsha. When we told Marsha we would be posting about our stay she said that they would just reply about what "s***" people we were. I was absolutely flabbergasted. What a nightmare. The front desk is unhelpful and rude. If you can help it absolutely DO NOT stay here.

Very old hotel and had a musky smell. The room was not the cleanest. The breakfast in the morning was amazing.

The hotel is out dated, rooms smell bad. The general manager ( Kirk) assaulted the restaurant employee right in front of us. I think he should be fired, you don't assault , or lay your hands on another person in front of your guest. I would rather spend the extra money and go to a nicer place, and friendlier staff down the street. Their rooms aren't worth $200 a night

Beautiful clean hotel. Get best online rates and call hotel as they will match the best rate. Rooms massive, with kitchen area etc. Large suite room. Unless you wish a river balcony view, pay half the £ for a non river view. Booking.com has best rates, $140 less than balcony room. Clean pool, hot tub and steam room etc. 10/10 stay here.

I've never reviewed before on anything. But I wanted to on this. It was not good. The place was run down. It was obvious that the staff was not happy. They were not kind. The breakfast that came with the room was not what was promised. They said we could pick from the menu. When we got there they decided to offer a continental breakfast that was not good. My 14 yr old son which will eat most things wanted to leave. He said the cereal tasted old. I could drink the oatmeal. Our room smelled and the phone didn't work. The pool was dirty. The outside looked nice. Clearly because I watched the grounds keeper and he took pride in what he was doing. I went there for a trade show. There was no discount for the attendees. Which was a first for me. I've attended a few. The lady at the front desk was not budging on the price. There you go my first review. I usually look for the good in things. This was hard.

Gross. I should have known better. This hotel needs a lot of updating. The lobby was extremely outdated and hot. Front desk staff was nice. Elevator was old and very loud. Hallways dark. Room is nice and large. I could have done without the blood smeared on the bathroom wall and the note from the maid asking for a tip. Pool was ice cold and my kids wouldn't even get in it. Cracked floor tiles and moldy drop down ceiling tiles everywhere. Apparently the restaurant was closed for dinner , I'm glad it was as the next morning at breakfast I nearly puked from the condition of the place. Dirty, outdated and duck tape all over the floors. Food was cold, my daughter wouldn't even eat it. Not sure how this passed any health department inspection. I highly recommend spending a bit more and getting a decent hotel. I was completely disgusted our entire stay.
