I've visited a couple of times. I suggest ordering small plates to enjoy more tastes. Everything has been great so far. Go. Enjoy.

This place is a true gem! One of our absolute favorite places to eat in Ketchum, and, in my opinion, the best Indian food in Idaho. They are always super friendly - it is a family business. The quality of the food never varies… It’s always absolutely amazing! There’s not much better than their delicious butter chicken on a cold snowy day! Definitely a place to check out just steps off Sun Valley Road in Ketchum. Support this small local business!

I did a take out order. The online menus are not correct and they do not have some of the most common Indian options that you'd expect. However I settled for the butter chicken and it was really good. I bought the large and it was definitely large and I couldn't finish it. Overall, I'd definitely eat there again

Keeping up with my travel tradition to check out the local desi joint before leaving town, we decided to pick dinner at #saffronketchum. The review in the local guide calls the restaurant a non-typical Indian restaurant and that chefs Abhijit Sarkar and Chakraborty Sanu have created a menu of contemporary dishes drawing on influences and ingredients from all of India's various regions.True to it, Saffron does have dishes from south to north but missing std typical fares like Dal Tadka or Dal Makani from the menu because according to owner-cum-chef Sanu that all his customers are white sounded lame When asked if he can make it for us, his answer we don't carry any dal at all was a big disappointment. So how was the food - to sum it, there was nothing atypical about the dishes and it was pricey for the qty served. Malabar Paratha (which was nothing like authentic Malabar paratha) had bad oil smell while Garlic Nan and Jalapeño cheese paratha were good as well as Channa.

This is not authentic Indian food. The place had no Indian (service, greeter, chef, etc)The food tasted like bunch of spices thrown in together without knowledge of levels or relevance.Despite complaining about food the server said they can't do anything. I wasn't offered a refund or replacement. Clearly they have no idea how to provide customer service.Save your time, money and go someplace elseKid-friendliness: Spice level is not kid friendly and no separate menu

We went last night and had two dishes and the naan. One dish the pork, was absolutely delicious, fell off the bone, perfect seasoning which made me excited for my butter chicken (because really butter chicken is the best food on earth) but I had to wait for another 10 min even though they said it was the pork delaying my meal. But when the butter chicken came out it broke my heart. It was like well cooked chicken floating in spaghetti-o sauce. I ordered medium heat and I don't think there was even salt added. I'd go back and share the pork because it really was amazing. But how can it be an Indian restaurant and not have good butter chicken?

Ate at saffron on a Friday evening and sat right down. Service was friendly and very helpful. Atmosphere was chill but it was a little warm inside. By the end of our meal my boyfriend was quite hot. Had to wait about 20-30 minutes for food but it was fresh. GET THE CAULIFLOWER APP. SO GOOD! The lamb entree was pretty good but was expecting more Indian spice and flavor. The garlic naan was yummy. The butter chicken was a fail. Presentation was lovely but taste was bland. Would not recommend (I believe other reviewers said the same). Overall it was a chill experience but could be better.

First time eating Indian food, really cool place, location nice with big parking lot, right in the center of Ketchum, we went with the hole family, the service was amazing and very helpfully. If you go with more than 6 people the 20% tip will be automatically in your check so it’s much easier. The food amazing, of course the butter chicken was one of the best, we need to come back and try everything.
