I'm rather biased about Roosters tavern on the green it's at the Lakeview golf course in meridian and I'm the kitchen manager and chef we do a lot of banquets at this time of year. My wife and I have been playing this course for years and really enjoy it. We actually used to buy a membership at this course. Today, I had my first bad experience with staff. The person named Tom that was driving around the course being the marshal needs an attitude adjustment, and training on golf in general. He's extremely rude, and when someone tries to have a conversation with him, he just dismisses them and makes threats. I do not believe he understands golf from the small interaction I had with him, and he should not be in this position at the golf course. We will very likely be back to play this course again, but I hope I never have to have a conversation with Tom again.

This little bar and grill has really good pub food and drinks! Good soups in the winter, as well as their normal menu, and friendly staff make for a good experience.

Will NEVER go back! Spent 2 months trying to talk my 4some into going. Horrible experience. The head grounds keeper flipped out on us cause he was mad at the group in front of us. Pro came out and made us apologize to him if we wanted to continue. DO NOT give this course your money. Absolutely a joke!

First off, we normally enjoy this course. Not that it's a great course but usually nice and the clubhouse is fun and provides good service. Now they are under repair and have a hole closed so you only get 17 holes to play instead of 18. This would be okay if we knew this prior to booking and paying. They offered no discount and no prior warning of the condition of the course. This is 'deceiving' and I find it hard to do business with places that are not honest with their customers.
I don't play golf, but it's a good place to enjoy nature, the Lake just incredible, the beers, the wings, your people, are amazing, if you want to have a good food and good day. Its here.

We went on 7/13/22 with friends from out of town. The help was very nice but, we were never told about the sprinklers being replaced. We saw a sign the hole #7 was closed. When we got there hole #8 was made into a par 3 from a par 4. The course was tore up the whole way, crews, machinery was everywhere. Sod was taken up along the way and replaced, making for rough playing. Muddy in a lot of places, sprinklers on as we were playing. I realize that there is only so much daytime to play and work in, but we should of been told and had aVery discounted rate. Not very happy.

Always looking for out of the way bar n grills. Gave this a try, solely for the bar n grill. Nothing impressive, although there was nothing really wrong. They have specials nights, and we went for Taco Tuesday. Shredded chicken or ground beef, eh. Rice and beans, no where close to authentic. Service was definitely friendly. Good drinks at the bar. This does look like a fun place to hit some balls into the lake though. I'm not knocking it, just doesn't have a pull for me.
