My son and I went here for the first time and let’s just say I was very disappointed. My hashbrowns were over cooked/burnt, French toast was cold and tasted old, my son pancake was over cooked, no butter, hard to cut up to where he couldn’t eat it. The only thing we could ate were the sausage links. The service was bad. The waitress was cold. When I told her about the food, she said oh you don’t like the hashbrowns that done? Like it was my fault for not liking burnt food. Then gave me a punch card for next time, like I’m coming back here. lol. My son and I left hungry.

As a customer perspective the food is great and the staff is always friendly but don't get use to a server cause they usually don't last there. As a previous employee perspective you have a different experience. You get use to the small spaces and the dish pit that doesn't really get the dishes clean but the lack of respect you get from the owner is something you can't get past. On multiple occasions my checks would be short up to 10 hours. Yes it would get fixed once I brought it up but it also just shouldn't have happened. And the more you fight to get paid for the hours you work your hours slowly get cut until he just decides to write you off the schedule. He doesn't fire you cause then you would have the opportunity to apply for unemployment, he just simply takes you off the schedule and then never replies back to you. So next time you come in and your favorite server is gone just know they are probably just as sad as you are cause we lose our jobs for us just wanting things to be fair. It took me a long time to have the courage to leave this review but almost a year later and I still hear about people not being treated fair. I feel customer deserve to know the type of person their money is going to.

Been in four times, the first three with my family. We were seated, waited for 45 minutes+ and never so much as got a water. Every time we asked the waitress for water or to be served we were told "Be right with ya, hon!" and were promptly forgotten, did this three time for each 15 minute intervolve. Eventually left as we couldn't get service. The last attempt I went alone, waited ONE AND ONE HALF HOURS, was ignored each time I tried to order and finally left. I can't even give a rating since I've never eaten there. I hear the food is really good, guess I'll never know!

Excellent service and food.

Great service. Delicious food that's not over priced. The garden omelet was loaded with fresh, vibrant vegetables and wasn't oversalted like everything is these days. Loved the private, quiet atmosphere and low lighting. I'll definitely be back.

Just ate at the honker. We used to go all the time, but circumstances happened, so hadn't been there for a long time. Boy we will be going back soon. The owner came to our table right away, and explained the daily special. What a great customer service. I'm sorry I didn't want lunch, it sounded amazing.I had the farmers breakfast and sub bacon for the ham. I'm telling you it was amazing. Really even better than it used to be. I also sub toast for a scone. Wow. I couldn't wait to get home and tell my husband. Thanks for being such a a great restaurant.See you soon

This is one of the of those rare unicorns... not a chain! It is very popular with locals. The food is average for the most part. The tuna sandwich did not have raw onions in it, so for that I am grateful as I am allergic. There was a lot of tuna in the sandwich! The fries were very good. My son ordered the French dip. Typical French dip is sliced roast beef, but this was a half inch slab of roast beef absolutely full of fat and gristle. This sandwich alone would have earned them a 1 star rating. But the waitress was awesome, the fries were good and the tuna sandwich didn't have raw onions, so they get 3 stars instead of one. I'll be back and give them another go, but I'll never order another steak product from them again.

Small, crowded dining area. Good service and food.Parking: Old downtown Nampa, parking is always an issue. Be prepared to walk a little as you may not find a spot close by.
