“I grew up in Pierce and the building that is now Miss Lily’s was a greasy mess of a dark and dingy cafe.
When my family walked in this weekend (a party of 8) I was pleasantly surprised. It’s clean and light and beautiful inside. The staff greeted us promptly. The floor plan is open and tidy. The menu is bistro meets kitschy cafe in the perfect collision of small town flavor and big town mastery.
The cooks had the perfect amount of humor and sarcasm when I popped over to the window to change my order from a salad to a burger, after seeing a work of ground beef art be delivered to an adjacent table. I was not disappointed in my switch.
My kids aren’t picky eaters but don’t usually clean their plates when fries are involved. They aren’t really fry eaters. When we got up to leave, there wasn’t even a pickle to be tossed away let alone a fry.
Amazing!
I’m excited to go back to my hometown and try another menu item!
