Friendly staff! Always remember a familiar face. Large menu & big portions, local favorite!

the service was good, everyone was very kind. but the food is alright, definitely an average mexican restaurant. i wish i could leave a better review, but for the price, i just expected better. we spent $60 or so for 2 margs and a chicken enchilada plate, which is just outrageous.

Owner takes tips from the servers and keeps them! Disgusting behavior, and the food is WAY overpriced and not good! Don't give them your business.

The house made guacamole is exceptionally good. The manager was very friendly and checked in with all the tables. We had a 6-person table, and the service was excellent. Everyone enjoyed their meals.

Sharing: The owner of Rancho Viejo in Post falls is exploiting you and the teens working for them.My teen got hired on and was told they'd be paid $12 an hour and tips. The first check came and it was $3.30 per hour and cash tips totaling less than $12 per hour. When questioned the owner they were told that the tips will equate to the $12 per hour and any thing additional would be the restaurants. He hires them all as wait staff to only pay the right to work wage below minimum wage but works them as bussers and other positions that should be paid at minimum wage.Looking in to the labor laws, yes this is illegal and a labor complaint has been filed. For example, my child waited tables for 2 hours and got a total of $300 in tips but only got $14 of the tips because the owner takes them all or keeps the ones on the cards. I was in there eating and watched him fire one of the kids because he kept his cash tip as he should. Most of these kids parents have no idea what is happening with their kids paychecks.Be weary when tipping. He knows that people will be more likely to tip a hard working kid a bit more and then he takes the money.

So... the service is quite good. But, TBH, I felt a bit of anxiety watching how the Owner/Manager was CONSTANTLY moving through the restaurant while speaking into his walkie-talkie head set. I appreciate good service. However, personally, I "felt" His constant micromanagement style took away from our experience. To see (most of the) employees "react" to, presumably, the Owner speaking to them through their walkie-talkie head set was just a bit unsettling. At one point, I asked a server, "Wow! He runs this place as if he were _________!" The response confirmed my observations.Moving on...The service, as I stated, was good/ great. The food, similarly, was good/ great (depending on the item). The atmosphere? It was nice. Clean. Plenty of seats/ booths.. just beware of your location in relationship to the doors. Staff tends to leave them open while serving people outside. So, it can get breezy. The decor is consistent except for the Large Family Photos hanging on the wall. I am all for Family Representation, but... a few of the photos (IMO) just felt a bit out of place. (You'll see, LOL)Prices are standard. Drinks were yummy. Overall, it's a good place. And I would go again.*Please remember: this is MY review, MY opinion... We each have our own opinions and experiences. This is the representation of mine.

Large group during lunch. Took advantage of the taco bar.

1 level above Taco Bell. I could tell that the ingredients were frozen by how watered down the food tasted. Way too expensive for the quality.

New owners, service was excellent! It is soooooo expensive to go out now that I expect "beyond good" food. My meal was ok, I asked them to re-make the chimichanga because it was very limp from the sauce. My sister-in-law and husband likes their meals. Lunch menu prices end at 2 in the afternoon. I can only afford to go out 1x a week, we may make it back someday?

I used to really like going here but this last time was not so good. Food was watery (happens to me when I microwave something from frozen and don't use a paper towel). So I don't know if it was just poorly microwaved from frozen or what the exact cause was. But it wasn't good.

Ordered over phone, girl had bad attitude. One item ordered was a $15 "deluxe chimichanga" that was smaller than a microwave burrito, soggy and cold. All food was cold and looked like it's been sitting. Won't be going here again! Picture was taken minutes after leaving restaurant.
