we were staying at a nearby motel snd were looking for a convenient place to eat after a long drive. The restaurant was full for a week night and the ambience was good, although the recorded music was rather loud. The staff was cheerful and efficient. Our food came within a few minutes of placing our order and it was hot and tasty. We were happy with our choice and would dine there again.

We are well travelled and I am from Tucson, Arizona by what I thought was the best Mexican American food there was. However, after trying all the Mexican food restaurants in this area and have found the real best - Toro Viejo. They have real enchiladas and great chimichangas - our favs!Parking is generous as are the sizes of the drinks. When you are there, pleasego across the Pleasant View strip mall and visit Treasure Towne. I have a western booth there with some Native American and hispanic art.

I don't like leaving reviews like this. But this is the worst Mexican food I have ever had. The enchiladas came out in 3 minutes. Almost scary how fast them came out. No flavor at all. Chicken was dry and the michelada was awful as well. They need help on the food.

No stars on this review, food was in small pinner size servings, the enchilada sauce had no flavor, gross !! My tacos shells were empty nearly and laying in the flavorless enchilada sauce, that turned the shells to mush, my glass of soda was crammed with ice, 2 sips and it was gone, and my waitress was to busy trying to look like the jokers girlfriend to visit my table once to give me a refill or a second napkin 2 thumbs down , I should have ate McDonald's next door, I even had to walk to the front to leave, she never even brought me my check... Oh the restroom was a disaster I've seen cleaner portables Don't do it, go somewhere else!!!

This place is terrible. Maybe 5 people in the place and I had to wait 10 -15 minutes foe the server to come to the table. I ordered a three item combo plate and only 1 of the items was what I ordered. Then they tried to charge me extra for serving the wrong food. Besides that it was the worst Mexican food I have ever had. It was all bland and had no flavor at all. Don't waste your money here.

Awesome fried burrito, pork was super tender. Gentleman behind the bar was super friendly and great service. Stop at the truck stop in Idaho falls quite a bit never knew about this gem. Definitely gonna eat here every time I’m up this way

The service is great. The food is good. The place is nice with a lot of seating. I had a combo with a really good Chile Rellano. The Chimi was not as good with the majority being beans and not chicken. The rancho beans were really good. Overall a good dinner. For Mexican restaurants I give it a B-.
I'm a trucker and found this place just next to the Flying J. I was there at about 4:30 pm. I was seated promptly. My order was taken and while I waited, more patrons were showing up. Due to Covid, capacity was reduced and a certain wait was in store.My food was prepped after a bit of a wait. It was the Chile Colorado plate. The meat was tender with the sauce getting a solid "7" on a 1-10 scale. Rice and beans were standard issue. I had a Coke out of the fountain because they didn't have the bottled Mexican Coke. Three torts were supplied and were not hand made.The waitresses were quite busy and the extra napkins and salt I requested never showed up..no worries though, I understood they can only do so much with limited staff. It is something that needs to be addressed by management.Overall not bad for the price and limited staff.
