I have been going to Dong's for years and it has always been great. The staff is always extremely friendly, their food is delicious, and June (the owner) is one of the kindest people I have ever met. I would recommend this place to everyone.

Absolutely awful: do not get raw fish here. It was warm and smelly. Also, we were missing one of our dishes. As someone who has eaten at the best sushi restaurants in the world, I strongly advise you to STAY FAR AWAY!!!! After one bite we threw out the rest (of our very big order). I’d rather waste money than get food poisoning.

(Not sure if this is where to put this as the Google Maps listing hasn't updated to reflect the merge with Adam's Mongolian Grill, but here goes.)My husband and I were regulars at Dong's Sushi. We were surprised by the merge with Adam's, but we were hoping the sushi wouldn't suffer from if. Unfortunately, our experience tonight proved us wrong. We ordered 5 rolls and a side of gyoza over the phone, and the employee told us it'd be ready in about 20 minutes. I went by a little over 20 minutes later to pick up the sushi, but it still wasn't ready for us. I sat in the restaurant for well over 30 minutes waiting for them to finish the gyoza and one of our rolls. They had one chef working and were extremely busy with customers coming for the Mongolian food. It took awhile for one of the employees to let the chef know I was waiting on our food due to the constant flow of customers coming in, and he had to call in a second chef to help take over the Mongolian food so he could make our last roll. All of the employees were kind and clearly trying their best to handle the busy time, but there were just too many things going on. When I brought the food home, my husband and I were disappointed to find that most of the rolls were falling apart, and the pieces were unevenly cut. All of the rolls were mushy and had an unusually fishy taste (whether from sitting out for an hour or from poor ingredient quality, I can't say). The one deep fried roll we'd ordered had gotten very cold and was even mushier than the others due to the deep frying. It seems that the merge with Adam's Mongolian Grill has left Dong's Sushi as a shell of what it used to be. With the number of customers, the lack of employees simply cannot handle two varieties of food.If you are going to get the sushi, I do not recommend eating in the restaurant since the whole place smells like Mongolian food (which is great if that's what you're eating, but it doesn't mix so well with sushi). As for my husband and me, we won't be coming back as there are plenty of dedicated sushi bars in Idaho Falls with much higher quality for relatively the same price.

This may sound it should be a 1 star review, but please read the whole thing to understand. They moved to a new location inside of Adam's Mongolian BBQ. They starting a new system for online orders and misplaced my order. When I showed up 20 miniutes later to pick up my order they had even started it yes...From then on I was treated like royalty. They explained what had happened and were very apologetic. They served me a free drink an appetizer while I waited, moved my order to the front of the line and were very communicative through the process. I truly believe it was just growing pains and I felt like they handled the mistake well. The sushi is the best in town especially for the price, and I would recommend it to anyone looking for sushi in rexburg.

Waited 35 mins for a small take out order there were only 2 tables with people so it was not busy. When asking the wait was told they had not even started my order yet the whole time I was waiting not one person in the small place received their order… the sushi “chef” had no clue what he was doing… I got a refund and left… don’t go if you don’t have a couple hours to spare or want to watch someone struggle to make a California roll

Great food and great price. Service can be slower at time but still really good overall. Never come when you might be in a rush and probably avoid dining in because of the extremely slow service. With one waitress, who must be new, it took us 45 minutes to get our food and had to remind her to get us our water and soup after 25 minutes. She seemed more interested in talking to her boyfriend and every table was dirty despite nobody being their for 30 minutes. Have never had any problems with the other waitress who has been there awhile. Still great food, just order out.Edit: got rid of their lunch special

By far one of the best tasting sushi joints anywhere. Absolutely the best in Idaho! Every time I'm in the area, I make it a point to eat here. Adam's dedication to quality ingredients is key to this super fresh and amazing sushi! See you again soon!

It was cute, clean, very empty. It took about a half hour to make 5 rolls. They were good but definitely not the best I’ve ever had. A lot of the fish seemed dry and it took a while for my order to be done. Almost 45 minute wait.

Best sushi in Rexburg! clean, delicious, filling and fresh. Thanks to the owners (Adam and June) for the hospitality and for always making our experience with our friends the best. Their sister restaurant Adam's Mongolian grill is also delicious - go check it out if you haven't.

This is still my favorite sushi place in town, even with other options opening up. I love the Hawaiian roll, and I appreciate that they'll make rolls without rice if I'm watching my diet! I've never had mushy sushi here, which is more than I can say for other locations. Definitely come here if you want good service and pleasantly decent sushi.

They’ve changed their menu or something, but beware, the next level shrimp is THIS, super bland no shrimp tempura and no crunchies like they used to. I’m studying the menu carefully and it looks like what used to be made this way (the delicious way) is now called the Super Crunchy roll. The pictures are not always next to the rolls being described so be careful when ordering!

Let me tell ya. I love a good authentic Asian fusion place. Our sushi rolls where perfect. I am pregnant so this time I picked safe rolls for me this time. The miso soup is a great starter. We got the Burning roll (which is two rolls), Newyork roll and The Hawaii roll. Also we had a yummy cheese cake tempura Other rolls We like are the Black dragon, Shrek, and The Ichiban.

Always good food but plan on waiting. Doesn’t seem to matter how busy or not busy they are it always takes forever. Even on to go orders it is always 20 min longer than they tell you. But great food and nice people!

I arrived at 1:00 pm. We were told we would have to wait 15 mins for food arrival. My miso soup arrived in 15 mins... It was totally cold. My sushi arrived at 1:50pm. It wasn't edible because the avocado was a rock and the rice was hard. It was a jade roll and an avocado roll. Jade roll was basically like another avocado roll. Took them 3 minutes to make me new rolls, so that was nice. But why did it take that long to get the main course initially? The replacement food was edible. The waitress was nice. The price of food was reasonable.
