“I liked it, and it certainly is an interesting pairing. They do a respectable job with the Indian fare, and their lite lager (Long Beach) was a great accompaniment to the meal. The menu does offer their take on bar foods, and for the concept, I think it works. Their sauces were good, and that is really the most important aspect. We visit Sandpoint a lot, and would pick this place again...“
“Daannngg! This is some killer BBQ! As someone that travels all over and has had killer BBQ I was pleasantly surprised how amazing this awesome BBQ food truck is way up North here in Sandpoint, ID. I had the Brisket plate and it was exceptional. Definitely part of the rotation from here on out! YUM!!!!“

“Smokesmith is a restaurant run by folks who love and care about BBQ. It you want excellent BBQ, this is the place to visit. The owners work hard and have a great attitude. The vibe of the restaurant is fun and this spot is the perfect place to watch sports on the big screen (I think we counted 7 large tv screens on our last visit). Great value at the bar and discount for paying cash as well! A few things that would help the owners and guests to more success 1) Entrance to the restaurant is awkward... seems like it should come off the parking lot (which would be an expensive remodel). Perhaps a loud "entrance this way" sign and covered walkway to the entrance would really improve the situation. 2) the ordering format is a contention of most visitors. The pass off during the ordering (meat cutter to sides person to bartender to cashier... provides service discontinuity (and opportunity for the cashier to make a mistake- we experienced this too). 3) Limited business hours (WED-SAT) can make patronizing this place a challenge. Perhaps the harder-to-prepare items offered 2 days a week, and simpler things offered other days? We want this place to flourish!!“

“Beet and Basil is a very special flavor factory that proves a heavily vegetarian menu can impress any pallette! Get the "banh mi" sandwich to enjoy a perfectly crusty, yet chewy baguette with chicken (or tofu...but why?), fresh herbs, crisp vegetables accompanied with blasts of Asian flavors from a mix of three different soy sauces. My vegetarian spouse vouches for the herbed and delicately sweet "curry and naan" as a definite repeat purchase! Thank you, Beet and Basil crew, for being a bastion for adventurous and well-executed dishes and service! We will be back for more! (We won't tell anybody about how good the "lavender cheesecake" was because we don't want other customers to hog our share!)Vegetarian options: Excellent variety of vegetarian options. A few vegetarian options can be made vegan.“
“They don't call it a five star dive bar for nothing! Great atmosphere for a night or afternoon out in town. Very friendly staff and excellent management. Music is always fun to experience here. They do have the best margaritas and old fashions in town.“

“As good as it gets when it comes to breweries! We're in town for a ski trip and decided to stop by Laughing Dog - highly recommend if you are anywhere in the Sandpoint area. Beers are great, and the food is truly scrumptious. We got Korean sliders & seafood mac (both incredible). Also love the dog-friendly atmosphere. Service was friendly and attentive. Hope to come back while we're in town!“
“Absolutely adored visiting this charming place on our trip to Sandpoint. The owner was incredibly sweet and made us the MOST delicious hot chocolate that was made from French chocolate. 10/10 recommend. Also, I loved the unique cake pops! Very homey, and lovely.“

“I showed up late for lunch on a beautiful sunny Saturday afternoon. Jeff was almost completely sold out of proteins for his delicious Korean dishes. He told me he had a rib eye steak that he was willing to cook up for me. I chose chapchae (street noodles at Jeff’s restaurant). Perfectly cooked, totally delicious, friendly service! Amazing and a definite “must try” in Sandpoint.“
“Another Sandpoint brewery to try out. Perhaps not my favorite out of the ones in the Sandpoint area but not bad by any means. The location of Mickduff's is right smack downtown so this is definitely the most centrally located brewery in town. Parking is so so but could be worse and probably is if there are any special events in town. For Mickduff's Steve and I both had the La Cerveza, a Mexican Lager which was pretty good. Not the best I ever had but solid all the same. Flavor highlights with this lager is a citrus flavor along with crispness and cleaness upon the tongue. A nice, light beer to enjoy in humid toastiness that Sandpoint was apparently unseasonably experiencing when I was visiting.“
