Far from the day to day hustle and bustle, Drifters is surrounded by timberlands and sprawling mountains along the beautiful White Pine Scenic Biway on Idaho State Highway 6. It's a perfect place to stop in and sit down for a bite to eat check, your messages with the free Wi-Fi and maybe enjoy a friendly visit with a complete stranger, the way you might have done 50 years ago at any given Roadside Diner in rural small town America.“

“We had dinner on Good Fiday at the Grapple. We were expecting greatness based on the reviews.We didn't quite get greatness, but we got good, even if it took a while to get there. We ordered two beers and received them 20 minutes after ordering them. Nice beer selection. Service was friendly, though very slow. Brought our poutine appetizer out with our dinners, which wasn't great.Sandwiches and burgers were pretty good. Fries are the new standard with the crunchy coating on the outside, which I despise. Poutine was good , but I didn't love the cold cheese curds that were part of it, just that they were cold.Restaurant opened their big garage door even though it was dinner in March in St. Maries, which was cool.Overall, good. No rush to get back but no reservations about going again.Kid-friendliness: A lot of kids running around in the restaurant and on the patio“

“Dine in to Joe's bar and have your food delivered to you! I haven't had one bad thing on the menu and the staff and owner are always friendly and about customer service. Have a special carb free diet? They can modify! Fairly priced and good eats!“

“Stopped here to eat while visiting family in Fernwood. Hubby had catfish bites, best he ever tasted says he. I had chicken strips, they were awesome. Veggies cooked in a garlic butter sauce were just the right touch. Staff was friendly and helpful. The cook even came out to see if we liked the food or had any suggestions, how often does that happen? You cannot go wrong eating here.“

Local crafts, farmers market style tables of homemade items such as jams, jellies, kitchen items, canned asparagus, candles etc..in the front lobby.The restaurant itself is absolutely adorable! It reminded me of a 1950's style diner. It is definitely a wonderful preservation of a historic building and provides a perfect atmosphere for dining.My friends and I only had coffee this time, they are both locals and often come here for lunch. Since we were looking for an eatery which provided shredded homemade hash browns, we decided to find another breakfast place for those. This place only offers pre-made hash brown patties.I'm looking forward to coming back for lunch the next time I visit St. Marie's. My friends told me their lunches are amazing. Our server was very sweet and attentive, our coffee was strong and very good!“

“This place is great! Good food; generous portions. The hash browns were light and crispy, not oily at all! The sourdough bread was wonderful and comes thin or thick slice. The wait staff was friendly and prices were reasonable. I’ll go back when I’m back in town!“

“We were so so pleased to have found this Cafe in our travels! The interior is beautifully clean and the design is wonderfully rustic!! The owner was extremely friendly and just all around a wonderful person! Our waitress Jenny as well as another beautiful waitress (so sorry did not grab her name) were by far the best we have had! Jenny was super polite, prompt, kind, and super friendly! The food tasted AMAZING and cooked to perfection!! Thank you to all of you for your hard work and care into your Cafe!!
