Great view at the top. Can be super busy. We had a two hour wait one time. Last year the food was not good at all but this year it was pretty good! The burger was delicious as was the Argentinian beef. Pho was unflavorful every year.

Always a couple of good local microbrew choices. With clear weather it’s a magnificent view of Lake Pend Oreille and the surrounding mountains. And then a great ski run down.Vegetarian options: Always a couple of options for vegetarians.

A had a bad experience with a service at the Sky House Restaurant. During a conversation with the server we asked her about the ski slopes at Schweitzer. She progressed the conversation to say how she was unhappy with the amount of growth in the area, although she was also not from the area, she is from Oregon. She spoke badly about all the baby boomers who owned more than one house and buying up the real estate, she said "who needs to own more than one house?" She then bad mouthed baby boomers who retired in their 50's and then expected young people like her to work. She said "they don't want to work, why should I work"? Then the final insult was about people who made their money in real estate. She spoke badly about the new owners at Schweitzer, they are too corporate. We didn't say much during her socialist soap box speech, just left quickly. We are in our 50's, recently retired, own more than one home and made our money in real estate.... This girl needs to be fired, and work somewhere where she doesn't interact with other people. I will never come back to your restaurant. And I have told everyone I know this story... boomers go elsewhere!!!

Lunch was great, but the views and atmosphere were the absolute best. We took gondolas up the mountain.... And it gets much colder as you go up so bring a sweatshirt or ayt least a windbreaker...

The Chicken Pho was excellent, not so much sodium as expected. All ingredients are perfectly done. I will be back!

The Skyhouse Restaurant at Schweitzer may be the best dining experience on the mountain. The restaurant offers a warm, cozy atmosphere that makes you feel right at home, with beautiful views of the surrounding terrain making it perfect for ski season or hiking in the off season. Plus, their menu is full of delicious and creative options that make it hard to choose just one item! Pictured here is my favorite French onion soup.Overall, I highly recommend Skyhouse Restaurant to anyone visiting Schweitzer Mountain Resort. They have something for everyone whether you're looking for a quick bite during ski season or an extended break after a long hike. Their staff are friendly and knowledgeable, plus they always go above and beyond to make sure your experience is top-notch! Just be sure to check their hours as they vary based on the seasons.

Fantastic views, definitely stop in when you're at Schweitzer. Food and drinks are great. The menu changes but there usually is a burger, a chicken sandwich, chili in a bread bowl, an Asian soup or noodle bowl, and entree salads. Canned cocktails or you can order a drink from the full bar. You can sit and enjoy the views while you rest your legs. Expect long waits on weekends and holidays. Unlike the Lakeview Lodge and The Outback, the menu doesn't have items specifically for young children.
