This place was charming the first couple of rounds. Then suddenly fizzled out. Been making it in there multiple times a year for a while now on every family visit. Never been gouged and was treated fairly. Went in before Christmas, sat down with some nice local people. The older lady running the bar on this afternoon (who I've seen multiple times, not working but hanging out. Obviously a friend of owner) offered me and my girlfriend a glass of wine. Poured us some white and handed over the reins to a young friendly gal. We sat around and talked with a friendly couple. The young gal asked us if we'd like another glass. We obliged. In the past I've gone in with others and ordered 4-6 glasses of wine and never been surprised at the bill. When our bill came we were very surprised at $68. Asked the young gal about it and she was clearly embarrassed and found that the older bartender could have sold us the whole bottle of the first glass for $58 which obviously would have worked better for the customer, but us being not local, we were obviously taken advantage of by the older gal. The young gal that was embarrassed, served us reasonable without question. Was going to bring in my local family that I visit the next evening for the Christmas party and when they heard that they declined. While I'm at it and since we won't be returning; Got pretty turned off on last visit while at a karaoke night. Was having a fun time hanging out talking to people when this drunk local guy that everybody knew came up and sat next to me he was being very obnoxious and was putting his hands all over my face and touching my nose and eyes. He was obviously testing my patients when some of the other patrons saw how obnoxious he was and stepped in to stop him.

I had a Paloma along with a small charcuterie plate. I enjoyed the drink and the charcuterie plate offered a nice variety of items. Perry told me about the various weekly events like line dancing, karaoke and blingo!! I’m so glad I stopped by this delightful and welcoming establishment!There is additional seating adjacent to the bar area along with a large patio. Helina Marie was working on the cute little boutique. I can’t wait to see the finished version! Helina Marie’s even has a cute tiny travel trailer so they can offer bar catering services. The also can host private events.

Helena Marie's is always a good time. Helen offers wine tastings, a great selection of wines, great patio in warmer weather and then of course there is Helen herself who is the ultimate hostess.

We were double charged in a group of 4. Not knowing till after, we went back in to ask about it. Helen said you guys were drunk. The 1 girl was (she had been there before we got there) we were not. (Her boyfriend came to pick her up) Helen treated us horrible. We will never go back.

Loved this place very welcoming. Helena Marie was great even though we are from California lol and talked about potentially opening a tasting room up that way. If you are not ver around star Idaho this is a must stop.
