A must stop after a day on the ski hill or hiking the mountains!!! Small town at its BEST!! The Burgers are hearty, real BEEF, and loaded with every favorite add you can think of!! The fries are thin cut and served hot and delicious!! They have a small but ample selection of IPA local brews. Restaurant was full at dinner, the waitress was busy, attentive, thorough and on point for taking care of so many so kindly and professionally. Like others said, it may not be “fast” but good food takes some time.

Don’t visit here unless you want to wait over an hour for your food every time! And the servers are never friendly. They always seem overwhelmed. For some reason they try to wait and bring out food to the whole restaurant at the same time instead of doing it by who orders first. However the food is yummy if you are willing to wait.

Went to grab food here after a hockey tournament. The server basically refused to seat us saying "we've just had a lot of big groups tonight and we are kind of over it". Wish we knew how the burgers were but I guess we will never know.....would NOT recommend for a hungry group of people.

Great food, amazing service, and fun atmosphere. For our family, this was truly a great choice. Something for everyone. Honestly the service is not speedy, but to be expected in a small town with limited workers. The food made up for any time lost. If you want quick, sure, drive an hour away and back for your McDonald’s. NO THANK YOU! The staff was realistic with time expectations and we enjoyed our time while we waited. The place filled up and even though they were busy, the staff responded kindly and positively when my daughter spilled her entire glass of water. When we find ourselves back in Victor, we will definitely be coming back to Brakeman’s!Kid-friendliness: Good food options at reasonable prices for kids

Brakeman’s has been a staple for us for years now. Always hits the spot after a ski day or hike. Don’t expect it to be fast, but worth the wait. I always get the brakeman junior and it is delicious every time. Grateful places like this exist.Kid-friendliness: Lots of games up by the windows. Not sure what the hype is about. Got the Crazy Brakeman - expecting fresh jalapenos they were from a jar! The burger it self was on the dry side. Husband got the Brakeman and said it was okay. We did have good service but I would be inclined to return.
