We just Love your BLT's and request the Bacon to be crispy, which you do Perfectly every time, We are very fussy. Staff is courteous all the time. We come about once a month.

I never had a problem with the food here. Everything I usually order tastes great but the last two orders were horrible. My burger patty was undercooked. I ate part of the burger and noticed the texture was soggy and pink not cooked all the way through. It should be light and crisp. Last time I ordered lunch with a friend there were a few teenagers that were rude. Handed me my food without a bag. Pretty rude kid. ?‍♀️ They Didn’t cook my food all the way through. It’s pretty disappointing ?‍♀️ train them better. I’m sorry to be rude but I won’t be ordering here ever again. I definitely don’t want to get food poisoning from undercooked meat. I would like to have an enjoyable well cooked meal that doesn’t taste soggy, undercooked and not handled correctly.

Algonquin Sub Shop is more of an institution than just your run-of-the-mill sub shop. It's been around for ages and I remember coming here when I was back in college. Its menu is inventive, they use fresh ingredients, and there is some charm. However, the wait time can be really long. I waited about 25 minutes for two sandwiches, some fries, and a soup. My husband's sandwich, (#25), the Texas Chili Rub, was flavorful and filling. My sandwich, (#15) tuna, was just meh. The bread was great, but the tuna was somewhat bland and had nothing pickled or salted on it, making it tasteless. However, the tomatoes and greens on top were ripe and delicious. The cream of chicken and rice soup didn't feel like it was salted or something. It was pretty bland. Maybe it was an off day.

My favorite sub shop in northern IL, even after moving 40 minutes away I still go out there just for a sub and fries. Awesome family owned business. Yankee Doodle and the Capicola Pomidoro are my family’s favoritesVegetarian options: There are 3 off the top of my head, all I have tried and one is my go-to

Always enjoy the helpful, smiley, and courteous staff. Excellent food quality, and it's consistent. A little gem, in a world of bad sub shops.

The sandwichs here are pretty good, coworkers all enjoy the food. Seems locally owned which is even better. Small shop with good food that has some creativity. This isn't a subway type cookie cutter sandwich place. The staff works pretty hard cause the shop gets busy, I have seen the lot pretty full.Note* We placed an order and we were short a half of a danish blue. I called and they brought it to us. This won my loyalty!

We happened to be in the area and had a hankering to get some sandwiches and such for takeout. We ordered three sandwiches and one salad - a Waldorf, Euro Club, Al Capone, and a California Fusion salad. Ordered on line and all the food was ready 10 minutes before the committed time. All the sandwiches and salad were awesome, packed with complex flavors. Sometimes when ordering a salad with chicken, you wind up getting pre-cooked/pre-packaged chicken from who knows where, but the Cali Fusion came with freshly cooked chicken.

Had the Danish Blue... SO good! My husband had the Al Capone and he loved it! The staff is very nice. This place is pretty famous for their food, SO glad we checked it out! Oh and try the garlic potato salad. Yum!
