The mashed potatoes were the highlight of the dinner, so good. Steak was fine, nothing to write home about. Burger was fine. Servers & bartenders were very polite & attentive. However, the main reason I don't feel inclined to return is that this place wants to be "high end" & charge higher prices, but doesn't seem to care to deliver a dining experience that matches. Serving a $16 mixed drink in a plastic cup is weird. And even weirder, is serving a steak with plastic, disposable silverware. We asked for an actual steak knife, and the servers said they were not allowed to give them. So weird?? Cant blame the servers though, thats not their policy.Thank you for your response. I have dined & drank on many rooftops & elevated patios and never been given single use plastic dinnerware at a sit-down restaurant. It is your company policy, which is fine, but not the dining experience I seek, especially when eating meat.

This place is awesome. Really great food near the Fox River. In old downtown Algonquin historical area.Food is top-notch great chef on board. Great wine list and excellent spirits. Had Eagle Rare and glenlivets 18. We want during the week on a Wednesday at about 4:00. First person there but it quickly filled up. Food excellent service great atmosphere is excellent we will be going back. It is a little bit on the pricey side so we'll go there on special occasions.
