THE SODAS ARE FRESH HERE I've been to too many fast food places that don't put enough syrup in their soda machines so the sodas taste like bland carbonated water or are way too watery.

Chubby's cooks your meal when ordered. Always fresh, always hot, always good service. It may take a few minutes more than you would expect for sandwiches done right but you will be glad you stopped. The Algonquin Steak sandwich is my favorite; basically a Philly cheese steak with BBQ sauce. Like their gyros and burgers as well. Eat in when you order the Algonquin - too messy to eat in a vehicle.
I'm from the south side of Chicago so when I'm up here towards lake in the hills Illinois at my girlfriend's house I REALLY have to search for good food. Let me start by saying this is now my "GO TO" Spot! The portions are huge, the prices are fair, the food is DELICIOUS! The people at the restaurant are really nice and you can tell they care about their customers ??Gyros...hot dogs... Amazing list of food I recommend this place ??????

We ordered to go tonight. I ordered the pork souvlaki. It came with tzatziki, a piece of pita, fries and a small Greek salad. The salad was very fresh, nicely chilled. The fries were the fat ones slightly undercooked. The pita was delicious. My big disappointment was the pork. I've always had pork tenderloin, cubed. And the pork tenderloin will mostly stay tender. This was made with large pork steak pieces that were very tough and gristly. I mostly threw it out.

Chubby 's in Algonquin, Illinois Has definitely gone downhill. $15.65 for a gyro. It was dry as hell and had hardly any tzatziki sauce on it. So I went up to the counter and asked for 2 tzatziki sauce and she wanted a $1.20. them . The gyro was dry, and the bathroom stunk because it was so filthy ! Pass this joint up. One star.

I really wanted a gyro, so we stopped here on our way home. It wasn't even close to the best gyro I've had. I also ordered cheese fries & the cheese wasn't good at all. The staff was great very nice young ladies. I'm sure they have other great items but NOT what they are known for.
The Food is amazing.. Many choices. Especially GREAT is the Greek Chicken dinner.I would drive 50 miles just to eat that! Friendly staff, Family owned.Nice decor.Plan ro be a repeat customer and ,like me,a Fan!,Hard to find a place as delicious as this restaurant..Five stars.

As usual order was not right don't know why I keep going back it's not the food. I guarantee you that they think they are Kostas not even close. Prices are high $21 for a Gyro one extra sauce, cheese fry and a drink yahoo on top of that they charge me to use my debit card. Why the fuck are you charging your customers a credit card transaction you're an asshole (owner) The people are very polite that work there. The owner should get his head out of his ass.

the drive-thru line was WAY to slow!!! waited like 15 min. with one car in front of us! because of the wait our food was not hot!, if someone has a order that is going to take that long then have them pull over to the side and get the next order out?? and i was so excited for the cream of chicken rice soup but not 1 piece of chicken and hardly any rice! just a thick goopy plain cream soup. sorry but they need to do better or they won't last to long.
