Hidden gem of the Fox River. A great, welcoming neighborhood bar. They had me at Old Style on task.

There was only 4 of us there. Went to see Christy working. She end up not working there because of not making money on tips and not very much people come in there during the day.

Friendly neighborhood older tavern. You can walk in a stranger and leave as a friend. I love the older woodwork and old stained glass lights. Visited a few times recently while staying in the area, and always felt at home. Friendly staff and patrons. Nice older establishment that's worth a visit.

My husband and I come to Algonquin 2 times a year to visit family. This is our favorite bar! Its like one of those old neighborhood bars. Everyone is real friendly. Its not a fun trip until we stop here!

Showed up at 7:30 to get a beer only to get approached by several fisherman wondering why they're not open even though they advertise they're open at 7am. I'm gonna assume they have closed down and no longer open for business. Those fisherman should have known better to bring a cooler of beer anyways.
