So, my family took my Uncle and myself here for our birthdays is February. His birthday is in the beginning of the month while mine is at the end. I ordered the Carne Asada Burrito Dinner with a Guava Margarita and The Fried Ice Cream. When I tell you that everything from the freshly made tortilla chips and salsa, the entrée, the drinks and the desert were made with perfection, it is not an understatement. The steak in the Burrito was tender, seasoned and hot. I have had bad Burritos and I have had good ones. This one was top tier. Our server was great and very polite and made us comfortable. I will be returning and this is my new go to restaurant for quality Mexican food.

Absolutely love Las Fuentes! One of my favorite Mexican restaurants! I usually get the quesadillas but I decided to switch it up today. I ordered the chicken chimichangas with a side of rice and beans. You get 3 in an order so I did 2 shredded chicken and 1 grilled chicken. The shredded was good but the grilled was the best! The rice and beans NEVER misses. These are the best refried beans I've had. My boyfriend ordered the Pollo Borracho and he loved it. I tasted some and it was good!! Nice and seasoned. Packed with flavor. The chips and salsa are always fresh and the salsa has a nice kick to it. The staff is always friendly and welcoming. The only thing I wish they had was the green and red sauce to add to the food. Other than that, Las Fuentes is fantastic! I've dined in and carry out and never had an issue with either. Highly recommend. Overall ratings: Chips and Salsa 5/5 Pollo Borracho 5/5 Chicken Chimichangas 4.5/5

First time coming here place was cute, bathroom was real dirty, our waitress was nice she moved us cause a group of ratchet women were being loud as hell. I am a vegetarian and asked if the rice was made with chicken broth, she said it was -okay so I will just get beans, I wanted to get the vegetarian tamales and asked if the masa was made with lard, she asked and yes it was. So I got the vegetarian tacos instead. If something is not vegetarian please don't put a vegetarian icon next to the food item cause not everyone is going to think to ask and they will just take it at face value and if they find out after they eat it they would most likely be very angry cause you made them compromise their dietary choice. Please disclose what seemingly vegetarian dishes actually have meat product in them.

Las Fuentes in alsip is one of the best Mexican restaurants you can find !! Berenice and everyone else who work here are really friendly they makes you feel welcome when you come in! The steak tacos here are the best around ! I give this place 10 star if i could ! Such a great atmosphere in the restaurant. I always go with my family and Berenice is such a great waitress! Answers our questions about different menu items and we get out food in a timely manner. She also makes the drinks and always love the Sangria!

I am not very high-maintenence and don't bother to leave bad reviews unless something is really terrible. I hate to discourage customers from small businesses but I had a really off-putting experience picking up food here. We picked up an order here the other night after lots of recommendation from my in-laws. We all love El Veneno Mariscos but this option is more affordable and has more variety besides seafood. We got a bone-in fish Nayarit style (Red Snapper I think) that to their credit was really good, and an order of Camerones Diabla. The shrimp had a strong smell like stale cigarettes that really grossed me out. I have ordered this same dish from a ton of different places and it has always been more or less the same flavor profile. (Seems that certain restaurants make this sauce differently) I really feel like this couldn't have been anything but cigarettes. The fish was great and we ate it anyway as it seemed fine and it was around $75 for this order. We aren't the type to call and hassle the employees or bring things back in, but the shrimp was thrown out. My roommate joked that maybe the cook took a smoke break midway through cooking them and went out in his apron or didn't wash his hands.. I hope that's not the case. Nonetheless I don't think we will be coming back again :(
