The food is always good, as is the service. It's a little outdated inside, but don't let that scare you off. I don't think I've ever been disappointed with the food. And now they've got Heaterz, which ups the game. If you haven't been, give Sports Tap a shot.

I ordered the steak special and a cheeseburger online, and the website showed a ready time of 6:38pm. I arrived at 6:45pm and was told my order wasn’t ready due to the steaks still being frozen. The special of the day was the steak. How are you offering a special without your product being ready? I then sat for another 15 minutes waiting for my food. It finally came out 23 minutes past the ready time. Then when I got home, not only was my steak underdone and under seasoned but also cold to the touch. Cold enough that the butter on top wasn’t melting. Can someone please explain to me how my order isn’t ready until 20 minutes past the time I was told but then also cold when I got home? I live less than ten minutes from the restaurant, not 40 miles away. @Alton Sports Tap, I don’t want your apologies, I don’t want free food, I want you to do better. This is not the first time I’ve had issues with food not being done when I arrive but it may be the last.

The food is really good and this place is really nice, but it is hard to get great service. The staff is very unattentive at times so it can take real time to get their attention or even just get your food. I've spent up to 20 minutes waiting to order before, but the food was worth it.

WHAT is going on at this place? Have been going here for YEARS and never been disappointed. Until now. Table of 5 of us, I was greeted promptly and given menus. Asked for a high chair. 15 minutes later no high chair and I went and found it myself. Waitress finally arrived and took our order (different from the one who gave menus). Waited 40 min for food to arrive. My son in law bit into his hot chicken sandwich and it was a bone in piece of chicken. Did not even remotely resemble a chicken breast.Asked to speak with the manager, was told that he was busy with a crisis in the kitchen and was offered a round of drinks instead. I did not ask for drinks, I asked to speak with him.I lost a whole lot of respect for this place and management.....if they cannot take the time to talk to a long time customer who requests a moment of his time maybe they do not need business very bad.Sad beyond words.

This place has really stepped up their game. Rumor has it there's an owner named Daniel Edwin Chicken who's created the greatest chicken in all the lands. I tried the tenders the other day and it gave me superpowers. I went back to the year 2000 and won the high school state championship, became valedictorian, and won the Nobel peace prize in the same day. You don't need a flux capacitor to reach 1.21 gigawatts to time travel, just a reservation at the Tap.
