Not the most welcoming people when you walk in. I thought maybe we were walking into a funeral. They were just there I guess! Waitress was pushy and practically ordered for me. If you are going to wait tables then pretend you are somewhat alive. I'm so tired of seeing gloomy faces. Is life really that horrible? 5 waitresses with 4 tables on a Sunday morning. I won't be back. Good luck! :)

Cold in restaurant had heater in hallway , food took a long time not super busy , chicken sandwich cold , waffle so hard could not cut , one person food came out after the other 4 people were done eating

It was ok, nothing special. We didn't get checked on by the waitress very often even though we were like 1 of 3 tables there at the time, so if our drinks ran out, it was a while before they got refilled. I ordered the Knuckles chicken sandwich and it came with 6 onion rings most of them were small so that was a little disappointing. Like i said, it wasn't terrible but it wasn't great and for the amount of money spent for 4 people, I don't think it was worth it

## IHOP Alton - New Management, Great Experience!I used to avoid the IHOP here in Alton. Let's just say the staff wasn't very welcoming, and the overall experience wasn't great. But recently, I decided to give it another shot, and I'm so glad I did!**The Change is Clear**The restaurant was clean and inviting, and a friendly server greeted us right away. It was a complete turnaround from my previous visits.*Great service*Our server, Rita, was fantastic! She was attentive and friendly, making sure our meal went smoothly. The food itself was decent, and they even kept our drinks refilled – something I definitely appreciate.**Worth Another Try!**If you, like me, had a bad experience at the IHOP in Alton in the past, I highly recommend giving it another chance under the new management. It seems like things have really improved!

Went for breakfast and was seated promptly by the pleasant greeter. The restaurant was not busy on this weekday morning. Still waiting to see someone/anyone after 15 minutes. We could hear people talking in the kitchen but no servers present in the dining room. We opted to leave without ordering because no one ever showed up. The waiting area had several people looking around for help (greeter no longer there) when we walked out. I miss the Wood River IHOP where service was great and food was prompt.
