But even when it gets cold out, still fun to go to even during a brutal Chicago area winter.This is probably the one ice cream parlor around compared to others that has a huge emphasis on toppings/creations which is definitely their strong point.Always a great selection of flavors between their regular year round and seasonal flavors, prices still seem reasonable although the high-end ice cream chain has never really been cheap and customer service remains consistently good in an always spiffy clean/sanitized atmosphere.CSC obviously does battle with competitors such as Oberweis up the road and Graeter's. When it comes to taste and quality, this place lives up to the price and my kids are well worth it anytime of the year.Only con (which doesn't drag down a 5⭐️ rating) about this place is the parking lot which can be greatly limited especially on wknd nights when nearby Giordano's gets packed. You may find yourself having to park east across the street from Starbucks and walking a bit of distance.“
“ONLY BAKERY IN THE NEIGHBORHOOD!This was the first time I bought treats from this place. I ordered cupcakes for the staff members working at my son’s school. They looked great and I received good feedback from the staff members. I purchased individually packaged fruit cakes. They were delicious and well made. They were loaded with fruits and nuts. “Love this place. Although the menu for breakfast/lunch is limited, it is still good and is priced right. The coffee is great. It is the pastries that will blow your mind and taste buds, omg. You must come to the "Lovin Oven and Cakery" and grab a coffee and a pastry at minimum. You will not be disappointed. They also do wedding cakes, and have a wedding department, as you can see in the photos.“
