So happy this place is closed most of the year. Seriously unsanitary and the most unfriendly restaurant in Antioch!! Do not take a chance by eating here!!

Food was ok. Not bad but not Stellar. Waitress was flaky and forgot stuff. Onion rings were gross. Drinks were Amazing!

Can't believe in all the reviews I read there was not a single mention of the Hitler quote these red necks have slapped on a mirror behind the bar. Guns nuts? That's fine--I live in Wisconsin. Don't like them lib-rals? Great; we're all entitled to our opinion. But these folks aren't just racists, as some of the other reviews mention. These losers are full-on neo-Nazis. Taking the German schtick way too far. If you want really good food, just go next door to the Sunset Grill. Lovely folks, gorgeous views especially at sunset, and a great menu.

Well, this place is in serious need of an overhaul. Went there this evening with three German food aficionados. All 3 gave it a big fat thumbs down. Schnitzel should be easy to make and have taste great. Right? Not here. Each ordered one of the Schnitzel dinners. All failed the test Our table had been wiped down at some point before we got there, but there was some sort of residue still on the surface. Service was great, though. Oh, btw, bring cash or an ATM card. This is the ONLY place on the ENTIRE Chain O'Lakes that does not except ANY credit cards. Cash only. Evidently since Covid, they got rid of their credit card machine. Funny, I bet the owner(s) still use their credit cards all over town including at restaurants. What a stupid decision they made. They need to pay better attention to their food quality.

We got ignored for several minutes when we arrived-wife even had time to visit restroom and still no reception. Finally we asked to be seated. We requested outside seating upon noticing two parties leaving. Waitress looked out the window and said "Sorry, no tables"; when clearly we witnessed two parties vacate the deck. Food: Give the thumbs up to the Fried Prich and Sweet Potatoes. Steak/Shrimp combo, mashed potatoes and gravy could have been better. Service was a tad slow. Should have ordered Fried Chicken...perhaps if we come back.
Place is original and has this very historical past. You can just feel all the ghosts of the past. Their spirits are still there and visit with you as you drink and eat the wonderful food. Ribs are amazing as well as the boiled haddock. Beautiful view of the lake. Very laid back atmosphere. Heading there tonight. Miss the salad bar though. Hope one day that'll come back. COVID crap did that. Echhhhh . Old tools things of the past are displayed. You've got to go

Why people from the Upper Peninsula of Michigan are obsessed with pasties. ... The pasty (rhymes with “nasty”) is a traditional workingman's meal from Cornwall, England. It's traditionally made with beef, diced potatoes, onion, and rutabaga, although the proportions and type of meat change depending on who's making it
