Lover of food and good entertainment

We had the chicken Tom Yum soup. It was pretty tasty. I've only enjoyed 2 places and this is one of them. The other was Thai Room but they're closed now. I had the basil fried rice. It was ok. I'd try something else next time. The fried icecream is pretty good

You can see the restaurant when driving on Arlington Heights Road. We have passed this restaurant many times and today was the day we stopped in for lunch. The area is pretty nice you can walk around and shop at nice variety of small stores and shops. When you first walk in the restaurant there is a pickup area and someone was standing there ready to seat us. The restaurant is very clean, elegant, and tastefully decorated. There is soft instrumental music playing in the background but it did not drown out conversations at other tables. We sat in the "upper" dining room (a step higher) and there were two ladies from the lower dining room that asked to move near our table because it was too noisy in the "lower" level. So you may want to sit closer to the front door if you want a quieter table. As We decided to come here for lunch because my husband took the day off. Since it is Friday and lent, we cannot eat meat today. There were plenty of veggie options on the menu. My husband ordered the Thai Fried Rice with Shrimp, he said unfortunately it was way too dry for his liking and says he will probably try the Pad Thai next time. My husband drinks so much water and was impressed that they kept his cup full. He must have had 6 refills. Lunch comes with the choice of a vegetable egg roll, or pot stickers and if your dining in a bowl of soup. There are two choices we picked the tofu spinach. I ordered the Pad Kee Mao with vegetables and it had the perfect balance of sauce because not only could I taste the yummy sauce but all the veggies and noodles too. So yummy! I have been to Thai restaurants that have put on way too much sauce and this was definitely not the case. This is probably the best Pad Kee Mao I have ever had the pleasure to eat! If your in the area I highly recommend giving this place a try!

Ive been coming here with my family for 5+ years now. The service has always been incredible, food is high quality, and ive never had any problems. Its the perfect ambiance for a date night or family dinner. Love this place!!!! The chicken satay and mango sticky rice are pretty notable dishes!

Alt Thai has been our go-to for Thai in Arlington Heights for years but lately there's been a notable shift -- the food is significantly more expensive and they're charging for things they didn't (e.g.: adding pineapple to the fried rice) – the food is still decent, but we're starting to get priced out of ordering from here more than a few times a year, if that...Kid-friendliness: Mixed - no kids menu but you're not shamed for bringing your kiddos.

Excellent, friendly service, great food, and a relaxing atmosphere. I would make reservations for Friday and Saturday dinner because we went on a Sunday night and it was still half filled. Pro tip: when they say mild, medium, or hot, they mean it. If you're not into spicy, get the mild. If you're into spicy ? you're going to be happy.

Curry plate EXTREMELY TASTY. Now about the service……..the young guy was polite. But when we walked in , since we were more than 5 persons and the place has the gratuity included 18% no matter what, we felt an unpleasant air from the ladies seating us. Other than that, a great place to try healthy

Had to leave the place after waiting at the table for 20 mins. No one bothered to inquire or even take drink order. Won't recommend.

I was a bit skeptical at first, since I never tried Thai food but it surpassed my expectations.
