“I'm a novice when it comes to Indian food. I have had some very bad Indian food. But this was excellent. So good. So flavorful. Excellent rice. The waiter recommended the chicken tiki masala and lamb Josh Rogan. Both were so delicious. It's BYOB. So bring your own wine. But definitely try it. Naan was excellent.“

“Very pleasant cafe. There is outdoor seating when it is warm. I have gotten many drinks and enjoyed them all. I like the lavender latte and the espresso tonic particularly. The food is good. I have not tried the pastries. It is open late as a bar and the mixed drinks are also good. The espresso martini is a good starting drink. It can get busy so keep that in mind while planning. There is street parking and you can also park in the garage a block away.“

“What a fabulous and beautiful coffee shop. Each suburb needs one of these. The cappuccino was perfect, not bitter and not too much milk with lots of frost. We also enjoyed a scone and an apricot and cherry tart which were so yummy. The decor is very welcoming. A very lovely place that I’m looking forward to visiting again and hopefully soon.“

“We settled on Scratchboard Kitchen for our latest meeting.Scratchboard Kitchen focuses on sourcing as much local produce as possible, listing the local farm partners on their website, and creating seasonal dishes.I am still adjusting to the restrictions that my food intolerances have placed on dining but I was able to choose the Fried Chicken Sandwich - Spicy with some alterations and have a lovely Rose & Cardamom latte.Brit went with the Biscuit Breakfast Sandwich and Erika went with the Tuna Melt. They shared the Strawberry Matcha Poptart. I will say that I have noted a trend of fancy poptarts since the fall last year.“

“I've been trying to look a good matcha ice cream place in Chicago for the longest time and I FOUND IT! Releaf is located in the cutest Japanese marketplace, tucked away in the corner amid other restaurants. I got their Black Sesame and Matcha mixed soft serve on a cone. Honestly, there isn't much to say except that it was delicious. The quantity is really great, swirl was aesthetically pleasing to look at, and you can taste both the matcha and black sesame. The staff said that the soft serve is definitely stronger compared to the ice cream scoop. They do serve drinks during their normal operating hour, but after like 6/7pm, they only sell soft serve and ice cream after those times.“
