Cool place to hang out. Here's what I liked about this place: - It's pretty big inside, so plenty of room - There's different sections or areas: They have lounge type of couches if you just want to chill out. They have 2 pool tables if you want to stand.... And also be active. I believe there's dart's as well. The bar is pretty big, so plenty of seating if you like the bar top. Next to the bar they have additional seating and more lounge seating. - This place is open until 4AM. Not sure if anyone needs to be out that late, but this is the place to go if you're a vampire. I really enjoy this bar, there is alot of space so you don't feel jam packed. The drinks are always good. Prices are reasonable! And staff is always nice and make you feel welcomed!

I would have left more stars because it's an enjoyable place to sit around and talk with people. However, every time I have ordered food they've never given me my change back. I am sure they expect a tip but it's customary to give someone their money back, and if they'd like to tip they can. It's awfully rude of the staff to do that, and thus the low rating. It's happened twice now. I will no longer be buying anything in the future it'll just be waters from now on.

This bar is just an average bar in the area. Sometimes they have cover bands or dj's that play on their stage as well. The beer list is pretty large and impressive some bottles/taps are rare to find in a bar in the area - however some of them can be pretty expensive depending which you get. They're open pretty late even during the COVID pandemic which is nice - this sometimes will attract shady/trashy clientele though just keep that in mind. Service is just average at best as well check your bills when you receive they charged my friend for 2 beers he didn't even order. sometimes they jam the music so loud you can't hear the person next to you. Not a lot of seating either for a bigger sized bar which kind of sucks. Food was pretty good for bar food that I ordered - I recommend the mozzarella sticks and jalapeño poppers. Overall an average bar in the area - an okay place to see a cover band but just for drinking there are better bars in the area.

I really want to like this bar and this review is in hopes someone at Home bar is paying attention. This place has a great stage and would be a pleasure to perform here but the sound and vibe in this room is aweful. The place echos so badly when watching a band. It feels like you are in Saint Patrick's cathedral watching Megadeath. The sound engineers hired apparently think turning it louder is what bar patrons who come to eat, have conversation,a beer and see a live band want.Shouting in hands cupped in to other people's ears. Hope he enjoyed his beer. Aren't you being paid to work here? The walls need sound control devices behind stage and other measurements to fix. I am not an engineer. Hire one you losing money. People are not returning.The design of the room and tables are kind of silly. They need tables for four not tables for 8. We can push tables together. Saw a few large tables with 2 people at them basically a half empty looking room but nowhere to sit unless you wanted to make friends with stranger when you walk in door. The low low tables vibe does not work here with a fouton.Also don't stand in front or sit in front of the sound booth you will be blocking the site line of the out of control sound guy. We wanted to play pool and we put a dollar in the East table. We normally would play for a few hours if decent table. We spent $30 at Qbar two weeks ago. This time we played once. The table was so crooked we could only stomach one game. Lost revenue again. I did not get our watresses name but very strange to ask if we needed menus never to return until we went and got our own. We watched her hang out at the bar after that question. We were at bar for 3 hours. During that time we had to approach bar 2 times to ask her for another beer. Drank 3 total.We all would have had one more but service sucked. Lost Revenue. We watched her pass us up many times like we were ghosts. When she did make a surprise appearance she would ask a question you could not hear because of sound guy then turn away leaving you shouting at her back before everyone answered her. Lost revenue. The breathalyzer in hallway looks like it would be interesting. Oh it doesn't work would not take our money. More lost revenue. Was anyone paying attention to the tvs everywhere? There was apparently a high school kids wrestling match right next to the stage going on most of the show for EZFM band. Very odd. This is my second time to Home bar. Same issues again. It is my last likely unless there is a band I really want to see and some one tells me "Hey they remodeled and it's under new management. You should check it out. This review is meant for the owner or management at Home bar and not trying to malicious. We really need places like yours and this is just lack of caring or someone is overwhelmed with the place.I will remove this review at some point on my own. I don't want to be part of your problem.

This place attracts "trash". Just last weekend a huge, dangerous brawl broke out! This is NOT the only dangerous occurrence for this poorly managed bar! Prospect Heights Police had to call in multiple community units to assist, not only to protect the "patrons" but themselves from the "maniacs" that were present at this time! The residents nearby will not tolerate this poorly managed "establishment", lacking sufficient security to protect its' patrons as well as the outlying communities!!!

We went to participate in Tuesday trivia. The experience was fine, most of the food was good. However, I was served a burger on a stale bun. After pointing it out to our waitress who confirmed the bun was stale, i was offered a replacement. The replacement bun was still stale. I suggested they check their stock and tore off the stale piece and ate the burger as i didn't want to wait for a third try. I was not offered any kind of discount or anything for this issue. Everyone else in my party enjoyed the food and we all enjoyed trivia.

While I love the special events here like trivia or music, the mediocre food and lack of service really detract from the overall experience. The space itself is quite large with plenty of room to move around and play some pool or video games while watching many different TVs at the same time. The parking is also relatively easy with a huge lot available to them. The food is very underwhelming. It reminds me almost of home cooking with simpler ingredients but plated nicely. Of all the items I've tried over the years, no dish has really stood out to me as being better than a fast casual option such as Dengeos or JDs BBQ. There's hardly any thought put into mixing different textures or unique flavor combinations in there and the execution isn't great. I've never really thought to myself that the burger or skirt steak was extra juicy or that the fries were extra crispy. The beer list is forgettable as well, with mostly the most common beers you find locally (Miller, Coors, etc.) and craft beers that you typically find in local grocery stores. The service is typically very slow when I visit. It takes a very long time to take the order and a very long time to pay the bill as well. Both when the bar is very busy and less busy, it takes a while to get service. Overall, the entertainment options here are nice but the actual food and drinks served here are underwhelming.

I knew one of the djs for nye which is how i found out about this place. I drive past it every night to work but they don't have a lit up sign so you don't even notice it's there. Bartenders and servers were nice. The coat check lady was super nice too. Most of the djs played good music. But as the dj i knew was switching with another dj a rude security guard literally pushed me into a fake column thing not even telling me to get off just pushing me off. He didn't say one word to me!! Just pushed me and my friend off! It was so odd. I booked two tables coming with over 20 people and i can confidently say none of us will go back.

I gave this place a bad review in March and it's not even here, sounds like they deleted it. This place is gross and disgusting, falling apart, never cleaned, bartender was a a*** I will never go here again. When I walk into go to lunch, I don't want the place to look like you never cleaned from the night before and holes in all of he stools and the bartender should not be talking to you in a disgusting way about his privates. DISGUSTING PLACE!!! I would like to know who took down my review people need to know your joint is disgusting!!!
