We’ve been exclusively going to Sun Shui for Chinese for close to 10 plus years now. They recently changed their menu dramatically, leaving our family less than impressed. Their normal above average Chinese food was suddenly just very average, which was disappointing. But the thing that got me to actually come and leave this review was the fact that we could not get anyone to answer the phone and take our take away order at 7pm tonight, a Thursday night. We tried ordering online and it said the restaurant was closed/not taking orders. So then we try calling, 5 times, with no one answering. We have no idea what is going on at Sun Shui, but tonight we tried a new Chinese restaurant in Arlington Heights and we were impressed after being let down the last few times we have tried to order from Sun Shui.

I was very disappointed in the meal I bought. The food was okay but the portion size are crazy small.The orange chicken came in a small container that was 15 dollars. It was no way worth it .

Great food & a fast thinking crew. We went on a Sunday afternoon - the wait staff had called off. The crew worked together to take care of customers & made sure everything was as requested. Great place to eat & good service even when having to adjust for being shorthanded. We can't wait to go back!

We ordered takeout from here. The Mongolian chicken was great . The fried rice, Pas Thai and sushi were just okay. The flavor wasn’t what I’m used to. We went in to pick it up and the inside looks nice , very cozy.

Worst Japanese food ever. Place was nearly empty on what should have been a very busy weekend night. Food was tasteless, like it had been around too long. SORRY Sun.
This used to be our favorite local restaurant. The key words there are "used to." The change in management and menu are horrible. Favorite menu items are gone, and it's now sort of a splatter of all things Eastern, none done well. What a sad state of affairs. We used to go every couple of weeks, either for take-out or dine-in. Now, nope. Not going back.

Cheap owners Every meal we ordered had a SMALL AMOUNT OF MEAT/SEAFOOD We each paid like $20 for a plate full of noodles and vegetables and very little of the good stuff. Won't be going back

We "visited" here last week on a Weds. very odd service from walking in the door. Place was empty (one other table had 2 people) and quiet. We were seated right next to the kitchen and handed paper menus, the exact one we have in our take out menu drawer at home but the home one is in better shape. Waitress wasn't very friendly, seemed put out and annoyed. Everything was telling us to leave but we once again were giving the place another chance. Ordered 2 egg rolls. Waited a good amount of time to make one think this will be nice and fresh. Wrong. One bite in and both rolls were ice cold. Hot on the outside and cold inside. At that we decided it was our cue to head out. We let them know why we were leaving and didn't look back. That was the last chance. I'm sorry that this go to place for excellent food and service has declined to a point of no return.

Wow! My boyfriend picked this place because I said I wanted to go to a sit down restaurant and eat. He found Sun Shui Restaurant, which was close by. When I say THE FOOD AND SERVICE IS TOP NOTCH! The Smokey Roll is superb and has become my new favorite roll. Always going to order the Smokey Roll. The spicy noodle soup was recommended by our waiter and it was a wonderful suggestion. The restaurant looks nice inside and the waitstaff is friendly. This is now a new favorite Asian restaurant we will continue to go to and support.

First time here and everything was top notch. Egg roll was 8/10. Hot and Sour soup was excellent along with Won Ton soup. Potstickers were better than good. Mongolian shrimp excellent as was the walnut shrimp. The waiter wasn't overly friendly but he did everything right. I would come back in a minute! Like to try the sushi.
