First time here to celebrate a friends birthday. Lots of unusual items on the menu following a southern tradition. I ordered a crab cake po boy with fruit on the side. Delicious and enough for 2 meals. One friend had half a chicken salad sandwich with a side salad. Two had southern eggs Benedict. Another had a delish looking omelet. Huge portions good was delicious and served hot.Not so crowded since it was a week day. Large clean bright space.I’ll definitely return.
We visited at 12:10pm for lunch on a Sunday. Food was mediocre, and we waited 50 minutes to get served after placing our order. The sunny side up eggs on our skillets had uncooked egg whites in them. Our server was pleasant, but it would have been nice if she'd given us a heads up on the wait time. The kitchen was extremely noisy, with lots of very loud clanking of the dishes during their busiest time. By 1pm, the crowd started thinning and the kitchen wasn't quite as noisy, and we finally got served by 1:05pm. My head was still ringing from the noise hours later.

The food, service and atmosphere here is phenominal. My son and I ate here for the first time yesterday and I'm already dreaming of going back so coming here to review. This is officially our favorite breakfaat restaurant, though they had some awesome lunch options too I can't wait to try!
Waitress was rude older woman. We walked in sat down right away. Didn't get our food for 1hr and 25mins later... (BBQ fries, half sandwich, chicken tenders and a bfast skillet) two of four orders were wrong. Sent one back.. another 30mins later it comes back, Everyone else is done eating at this point. Waste of $85 for breakfast... plus side--Very pretty atmosphere and clean.

I had the SK skillet with biscuit and pancakes it was delicious . Everything g we had was awesome the omelette , the crepes and the special donuts !!!!! The food was so much we all took to go .Staff was very friendly and accommodating . Atmosphere very cozy , clean and welcoming . I highly recommend this place .

We stopped in here because of the good reviews. Well let me tell you there isn't a review that says enough good things about this place. They make everything in house. The food was fabulous and the portions are so big we could have split one meal. The best biscuits I have ever eaten. If we are ever in this area again we will be back.

We've been to The Southern Kitchen several times. The restaurant is bright, clean, and lively. The service has always been excellent and generous portions. We've had pancakes, French toast, omelets, and skillets which were all better than most breakfast places. The biscuits and gravy are great. And coffee is strong (a must for me). Highly recommend.
