The food is amazing, i'm a black man and it was my 3rd time trying their mofongo. I was visiting from PA and had their mofongo and chicken and was thoroughly impressed. Borikken is my go to place for food whenever i'm in the chicago area ??
Really good experience here. Did takeout, got the steak plantain sandwhich, came with rice/bean and I got an Old Colony uva as well.Steak had great flavoring and was cooked well, plantain cooked to perfection to give a light plantain taste and work well as a "bread" for the sandwhich.Also walked away with a Pan De Maiz which was fantastic.Small place but comfy, attached to the BP next door.Staff was very friendly, food was out in less than 5 minutes.Will for-sure return.
