My husband has been coming here since high school in the 1990’s - always raved about it. We’ve been coming together since we met 11 years ago. The food never disappoints and portions are huge! Our server, Sammie, has been here forever and is WONDERFUL!!! My husband travels to New York often for work and says the Canteen corned beef is even better than the famous Katz’s Deli in NYC!!! It’s amazing! You won’t be disappointed ever with anything you order!!! I can’t give enough stars!!!!! ⭐️ ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Enter, seat yourself and be greeted by excellent waitstaff. Then, you get your food. Omg so good. Brisket was tender. Corned Beef Sandwich had thick slices and excellent. We have a new favorite bbq place!Parking: Parking lot was very well maintained, they do care about it. Plenty of street parking nearby.Wheelchair accessibility: Tables are on the first floor, easy to access. Bathrooms are down the stairs, might be difficult for some.

A great place for lunch. Delicious Brisket sandwich, moist and flavorful, complimented with their tasty BBQ sauce. The Pulled Pork was also delicious. The service was friendly with welcomed suggestions and information that helped us choose the perfect meals. The kid in me also appreciated the airplane decor hanging from the ceiling. Highly recommended and we'll be back to try their other smoked meats (the Turkey is next on the list).
I ordered the El Diablo pulled pork sandwich. The pork had a delicate texture. It has a nice smoky scent; the amount of the pulled pork is quite generous. It was finished with coleslaw and pickle. It is presented in brioche buns. It has a zesty and sweet sauce. The sauce has a pleasant spice. I can't wait to return and sample more items from the menu.

I drive by here almost everyday and always wanted to stop, being in a semi makes it hard. Today I didn't have a trailer behind me so I was excited. I ordered a pound of burnt ends and i was very disappointed. All but one piece was very dry.
I have always wanted to try this place. So glad we did. Food was delicious! Friendly service and food came out very quick! Super impressed. Not afraid to overload on the whipped cream! I can’t wait to go back for lunch! Menu was mouth watering!Bring cash! They only take cash!

I honestly drive an hour round trip to this place just to get bottles of their Diablo bbq sauce. The best bbq sauce I’ve ever had. Try it on fried chicken or even on Mac n cheese!

Whenever the subject of going out breakfast comes up; I suggest the canteen. When I'm out voted I think about how much better the canteen would have been. ( the only friends that don't vote canteen . Have never been to the canteen. Once they go I know I can count on their vote forever) Best hidden gem ever. Fresh smoked brisket for breakfast!!! They are only open from 9-2 or something like that. And I have been going there for 45+ years! Super personable waitresses ( Sammy will put a smile on your face) cooks are fantastic. Owner is usually there. Plates come out looking like a picture. I've had everything on the breakfast side of the menu. Except the Portabella mushroom plate. Because they smoke meats here!
