This place is a hidden gem! We dined in a classic diner train car which the kiddos loved. The server was attentive and kind. The thing that blew my mind the though was the sweet potato crusted salmon with the pineapple papaya salsa. Generous portions and a long island ice tea hits the spot.Definitely going

They scewed up my salad order and don't want to refund me for their mistake.Update: the manager left a message saying Uber eats will reimburse me. Uber eats still holds they are not responsible for food prep mistakes!! More than 2 weeks now. Having dealt with uber eats before and refunds for their "mistake(s), I am so very dissapointed with how Chessies has handled this. I've been in the industry for years and would never treat a customer like this.I was told intitially, come in and we'll get you your sald. Well, I was ordering delivery for a reason. Becuase of a shoulder surgury. The manager suggested I can uber. WTH??

Food portions and quality have definitely gone down, seems to be a common trend with restaurants. Balancing price and quality of ingredients is definitely something restaurants are faced with now with the costs rising, but it is a problem when you cut the portion size in half, or more, as well as put tiny shrimp (which were somewhat rubbery and seemed to be precooked and frozen, there was a hint of freezer burn flavor in it that could be from that or the ground sausage, but who knows) in one of your signature dishes which used to boast quite large shrimp and enough leftovers for another meal even if your pricing has not gone up significantly. Service is always prompt and attentive, though engagement with customers left something to be desired, felt a bit robotic. I have been going here for years, and will likely continue to, though not quite as frequent with the quality.

Our waiter, Eric, was a delightful addition to a fabulous meal. There were 7 of us and he was an intuitive and accommodating waiter. The did was spot on. I recommend this restaurant.
This was our first visit to Chessie's. Reading reviews ahead of time, I reserved a small table for 2 in the train car. Luckily all the Christmas decorations were still up so it was still very festive. This was a busy Friday night so service was slow but our waitress was great at stopping by. We ordered Herbed chicken and Plank Salmon. I had an incredibly good Lemoncello Rasberrytini. We stopped into the bar on our way out to see the decorations- pretty awesome. We look forward to going back to try some other menu items.

Due to a team sport conflict we celebrated a birthday for our youngest with a later dinner in the dining car.Entire family enjoyed their meals and noted the portion sizes were better than some other establishments. Staff was courteous and attentive. We enjoyed it.
