“Our son, Parker has worked at Nekter for almost a year now. He actually loves working there, and that’s all you can ask from your 18-year-old son. Loren and Brandon, the owners, really care about these kids and the same with the quality of food they make fresh every day. Having a son who works at Nekter has also afforded us the opportunity to try virtually everything on the menu. Yes, we are real customers but mostly we just love healthy food that tastes really good. If you’ve ever had a smoothie from a chain place, you’ll instantly know the difference. Our favorite things are their Chia pudding w pumpkin and a Popeyes Açaí are ridiculous. You know when your teenager makes homemade cashew milk at home… reminds you that you live in Barrington but also that the universe is working!“
“Organic Rootz is such a piece of sunshine in Barrington! Delicious smoothies and bowls, i've yet to try their food items but i will be sure to try them soon. Lots of local organic brands, an herb wall for all the herbalist out there, vitamins and oils, and great customer service. they're always friendly and go the extra mile during service.“

“My husband and I went there for a special anniversary celebration in September 2023 and loved it. Hadn't been there in a while and they did not disappoint. The weather was nice enough to sit on their patio - just a few sprinkles, but we had an umbrella over the table. Beautiful view of the golf course. Our server (Ally) was excellent and the food was delicious. My husband had the "porterhouse" pork chop - huge and perfectly cooked! I had one of the best petite filets I've had in a long time - so tender and flavorful. They gave us a free dessert for our anniversary - amazing limoncello shortbread cake with blueberry chambord sauce. Wow!“
“If I can give this bakery 10 stars I would. We ordered two birthday cakes/pastries here for my daughter's birthday. My sister in law loves ordering here for her party and that was when I tried their cakes and oh my goodness, It was one of the best cake I have ever had. Its a little pricey but Its so worth it. My whole family enjoyed it when I served the cake for my daughter's birthday. I will definitely be back. Highly recommend this bakery for quality and taste.“
