This is a review from a few months ago. Ordered a seitan cheesesteak and a regular one with provolone. I also ordered fries...all to go. There was no one in the place around 530 pm on a Tuesday. Actually stood in there for a few minutes before a young lady came out to take my order. She was very friendly and energetic. Food was prepared fairly quickly and packaged well. Got home to eat and then it went downhill. The regular cheesesteak was ok. Not a ton of flavor, but was ok. Fries were greasy, but also tasted alright. The seitan one looked good, but ended up having tons of hair in it. Unfortunately, the hair made its way into the mouth of my wife. There's no way this was accidental...it was like someone was at the salon and cut their hair into the sandwich. It wasn't the cook's hair as his was long, but definitely a man's hair. Absolutely horrendous; worst ever. I immediately called the restaurant and told the young lady that took my order. She didn't really know what to do and asked me what I wanted to do. She offered to remake and I said absolutely not. I just wanted my money back. She asked for my info and said she'd leave it for the manager. I went in to pick up my refund, but never really got an apology and never heard from the manager. Will never return and hope they figure that out. I didn't know what the "G" in "Super G's" stood for, but I'm assuming it stands for "gross". Yuck!

I would like to give honest feedback about the food, but this place never seems to be open. Have tried multiple weekends to place large orders but no one will answer the phone. Yelp and their website say they are open but there is no way to contact them. It is a shame they think so little of their potential customers.

Really underwhelmed, had super high hopes for a great sandwich. Got take out for lunch, was pretty slow inside. Ordered a large og classic, a regular super g, cheese fries, onion rings and the Nutella beignets. It was a bit on the pricey side for lunch ($52 after tip). But if the food is worth it I don't mind that at all. As for the food, sandwich was large and the bread was fresh, but that's all the good things I have. Really lackluster, I've had better cheese steaks at Jersey mike. Fries were hand cut, and not cooked all the was through. Onion rings seemed frozen. And the dessert was a disappointment.

The vegan food here is delicious. They offer vegan cheesesteaks, gyros, sausage, brats, and burgers. The seitan used in the cheesesteaks and gyros is delicious, and they do not skimp with it. The staff is very friendly. Street parking only, I believe.

This place is very unassuming! Such a hidden treasure. Their staff is more then competent and fast. Their outdoor eating is small but quite quant. There food is amazing. Especially the fries that are handmade to perfection. Not to mention very pet friendly this is a big thumbs up for us! Keep up the amazing work in barrington IL.

I ordered here once before and loved everything. I've been looking forward to ordering again for weeks. I've been telling all of my vegan/vegetarian friends about this place, singing their praises. The second order was a huge disappointment. The fries aren't the same as the ones from the first order. The bun to my Beyond Brat was stale and hard this time. The huge chunks of onions barely cooked. Maybe it was a different cook? It shouldn't make a difference. Since it's 1-1, I'll try them one more time in the future. Next time I won't get my hopes up. Maybe next time I'll get a phone call to let me know that there have been menu changes.

Was passing by when I seen cheesesteak so I thought I would go ahead pull over and call in a order. The young woman who answered the phone was patient going through the menu with me. Also the gentleman in the back cooking was very polite in answering my daughters questions about how the food for vegan was cooked." she is picky" customer service could get 10 stars. I ended up ordering the OG and the vegan cheesesteak. After a very short wait my food was done. Me and my daughter decided to eat it the car and we both loved our food. I couldn't believe how many fries you get with a order I couldn't even eat all my food. My daughter being a vegan is very picky and she actually loved her food and said she like to eat there again. Price was fair and food was good. Will definitely take that 30 min drive from home to eat here again. New customer for sure!!!

First Time Take Out And I Highly Recommend Eating Here. Driving past and seen this place decided to stop and order take out so I decided to call to place an order and when my sandwich came with the fries I was amazed. Ordered the Super G with Cheesesteak Fries. I was impressed by how hot the food was and it was seasoned perfectly i really enjoyed the food definitely will be back.
I will definitely tell people about this place! The lady on the phone was really friendly and polite. She recommended a really good sandwich too, I had the Creamy Jalapeño Steak and the cheesesteak fries. It was insanely delicious. This food taste amazing and I can't wait to try the rest of the menu

Been coming here since the beginning of the year, and finally writing a review. I can't stress enough how happy I am during these times. The lady over the phone is so patient since I'm new to this whole vegan thing, but more importantly the quality is fantastic. Been getting better and better each time through out the year. I really appreciate you guys staying open for dinner!

Usually good. I'll give it the COVID-19 bump but every now and then even the better places have bad days. Inedible unfortunately and I'm tossing most of it. The chicken was old and very dry so they just dumped sauce to mask it or the acid in the buffalo sauce essentially drew all of the salt out. It was more like a chicken jerky with a quarter bottle of hot sauce which turned the bread to paste. The egg rolls (usually good) were 20% burnt to a crispy which created a oil sponge effect. I'm nauseated. Nice people....bad day, I guess.

I really liked the almost vegan sandwich with Satan. The pizza sandwich did not taste like pizza to me. It was okay. I didn't love it and I didn't hate it. It was okay. I am keen to try their other sandwiches.
