I'm going to miss this place. One of the first spots I visited when I moved to Batavia. The Gammon Grilled Cheese was phenomenal, and the staff was very friendly.

Such a cute and cozy hidden gem! It's a bit further away from the river so I can see how it gets overlooked. I came here just for drinks and it was perfect. I'm really picky with my drinks but I got the whisky sour and thought it was great! Our waitress was also super fun!

Gammon House is a cozy little bar & grille in downtown Batavia. Cute as heck, we've eaten inside and outside...great vibe! The service was quick, energetic and friendly for such a small place. Drinks were fine, but really not a very deep beer menu. I'd like a few more to choose from please :) The food menu was pretty broad, we choose a salad w/chicken for my wife and a grilled cheese w/bacon and chili for me. Neither main dishes hit it out of the park...the salad is identical to what my wife orders elsewhere at least once every 2-3 weeks. It was just okay, the chicken was hard to find...a bit on the skimpy side, kind of ordinary... The grilled cheese was a disappointment: Two pieces of Texas Toast, way too much bread for this sandwich. The sandwich was hardly toasted, needed much more time on the grille. The bacon was okay, not really cooked enough, and the amount of American cheese was paltry compared to the bread. Reengineer this item or take it off the menu. The best thing about the meal was the cup of Chili...10/10 good! A little spicy, meaty and just delicious!
Casual bar, neighborhood hangout. Attentive, speedy, friendly service. Like the big pretzel appetizer. Big portion of pulled pork in the sandwich. Bun was a little dry. Nice beer selection.

This place is seriously a breathe of fresh air. As a first timer, wasn’t sure what to expect. Boy was I glad my family stopped by. As we walked in, we were greeted and seated. The bartender was hands down the star of the show. He was super helpful and took care of all questions. Huge shout out to the kitchen, they even sent my baby girl a little bowl with tots to snack on! I so missed this kind of customer service and this one time was enough for me to be sold for life. Kudos to the whole team there.
