Love Pips! My sister and I discovered this place a few months ago. Delicious hand crafted cocktails. Everything is house made from their infused liquors, all syrups and meads. Joy is a cocktail master! Matt is very personable and knowledgeable, he's the mead master, just don't ask him about pizza. lol. Joy has the low down on pizza delivery. I highly recommend this amazing Gurnee find. Only recommendation, turn down the bright lights.

Fantastic meads. The depth and complexity of all I tasted were something really special. Our bartender was extremely helpful and he really knew their products. I highly recommend paying a visit. You won't be disappointed!

1 of the top places for mead in 30 mins of where I live. Large selection of mead. Do not offer crowlers so can only choose from bottles on hand. Similar in quality to standard mead & manic mead which are much more affordable. In addition the Standard Mead location in Villa Park is more visually interesting than Pips. While I appreciate the staffs passion at Pips, it bordered on pompous, which u won't get at either of the other places I mentioned. It's a must experience, but average from an ambiance and staff perspective. Therefore, not my favorite.

First time at Pips, looking for a local meadery to expand our knowledge. FANTASTIC experience. Matt and staff were so accommodating in finding something special for my wife. We tried a number of standard offerings, specialities for Halloween, and special bottles. Great atmosphere, fun clientele, and so many good drinks to try. Will be back and will bring friends! Looking forward to some ciders too.

We had: Magic Dance- Gin, St. Germain, Rose Water Infused Simple Syrup, Lime Juice, Egg White Disturbia- Bourbon, Vanilla Chai Syrup, Fresh Lemon and Egg White. Cinnamon Spade Finish Fade- Raspberry mead with Ugandan Vanilla, aged in used barrels Peach Cobbler- Peach Smoothie Mead with Cinnamon

OMG...this place is a most perfect treasure. I didnt think I liked meade. I AM A CONVERT!!! Matt and crew made available games and we stayed through closing playing "pick your poison" and sharing pours of every meade on the list. You HAVE TO EXPERIENE THIS PLACE!! All meades are extraordinary but my personal favorite is that apricot turnover. Hoping he bottles that soon!! Honestly, how is it possible that he makes something this spectacular? And no headache day after!!Cant wait to go back.
