This eatery was referred to me by a friend. I was really hungry so we went there to get something good to eat. I tried the gyro combination plate. It was ok, there was nothing special about it. The sauce on the gyro didn't have any taste. The fries were pretty good. I was told by the attendant that this was one of their best items on the menu. I've had several gyros before and this one was not in the top 3.

The gyros and pitas were amazing! The chicken was well spiced and cooked, the veggies were fresh, and the gyro sauce was extremely tasty. We will definitely be going back to try other things!

I've never been inside, only gone through the drive-thru. The food is yummy and different than what you find at other fast food drive thru's. Definitely worth a stop.

I went to Wiseguys drive thru right before noon today and ordered an Italian beef sandwich with sweet peppers and mozzarella cheese. The sandwich is $7.99, the add ons are $.60 each, plus tax. My ticket came out to $10.78. The total alarmed me a bit, but I assumed I would automatically receive a receipt to itemize everything I paid for. I paid with Apple Pay debit and received my order. I didn’t receive a receipt, so I asked for one after I received the order. The server gave me the wrong receipt, which was a cash tender with a total lower than mine, and a completely different order. No big deal, I assumed it was an honest mistake. So I asked him if he could give me the correct receipt. He told me that it WAS the correct receipt… I reasserted that it wasn’t the proper one, and I paid with debit, not cash. I also explained that the receipt had a different order. I just thought it would be a simple fix, but this guy proceeded to debate with me about the receipt. It was very surprising. I’ve never seen anything like it. I remained polite and explained again that I just wanted the correct receipt for my order, which I believe that I am entitled to for something I paid for. He gave me another receipt, closed the window immediately, and walked away. As I suspected, there were hot peppers added to my order, which I didn’t ask for, and that’s where the extra charge came from. He had walked away from the window, so I went inside the restaurant to bring this error to his attention. At this point I still don’t know what’s on the sandwich, I never opened it. He admitted that he may have tendered my order wrong and that’s why I was charged extra. I asked if he could make my order correctly or just refund the $.60 for the hot peppers, and he refused to do so. At that point, I’m a bit flustered, but remained calm. He told me to pick the hot peppers off, but [arrogantly] still didn’t offer a refund for his error at that time. I realized that I was speaking to an uncouth employee, so I asked to speak to a manager. The manger was not present, and he refused to give me the manager’s info. The employee also would not give me his name. I was willing to bite the bullet, and still have the order made correctly, or a $.60 refund, but no adjustment was made. I actually just wanted the sandwich, but didn’t think it was fair to be charged for something I didn’t want or asked for. After a bit of going back and forth, he discourteously gave me a full cash refund. As I’m standing there, visibly confused and frustrated, he scoffed, “what are you going to do about it?” That was a bit over the top, so I pulled out my camera to take a video of this employee’s behavior. Contemptuously, he called the police as if I did something wrong. I waited for the police because I had nothing to hide, and didn’t act belligerent in any manner. The police were polite, and told me I’m NOT banned and I’m welcome to come back anytime, bc clearly I didn’t disturb the peace or intend to make a scene. However I will never go back and will tell everybody I know abt this experience. It felt VERY discriminatory, Jim Crow-ish and simply uncalled for. I included a pic of the employee and hopefully this guy never gets hired in customer service anywhere again. Do better, Wiseguys.

I got the double gyro meat plate and was very satisfied with the amount, seemed like more than 12 ounces of perfectly sliced meat. It was seasoned very well, providing an excellent taste across all the taste buds with every bite. The Man brought us our food right to the table and made sure we were good before leaving and attending other customers. They have sweet tea as a drink option which pairs very well with the delicious meat plates. We also ordered dessert. The Man offered us some ice cream and told us he would wait until we were done with our meal to deliver the homemade baklava to our table. I was hungry after some strenuous dog training up the street and left a very satisfied customer. I will come back next time I am in the area.

I'm a huge fan of Italian beef sandwiches, and I've had them all over Chicago. But Wiseguys' is definitely one of the best I've had in the STL-metro area. ???? The beef is thinly sliced and super flavorful, and the gravy is rich and savory. The French roll is perfect for soaking up all the delicious juices, and the hot giardiniera adds a nice bit of spice. I also love that Wiseguys uses all-natural ingredients and makes their giardiniera in-house. ?If you're looking for a truly authentic Chicago-style Italian beef sandwich, Wiseguys is the place to go.I give it 5 out of 5 stars! ?????Parking: Lots of parking
