De Campana is a go to restaurant whenever I want great Mexican food. I've been coming here for over 20 years. The ambiance of the restaurant hasn't changed since I first started coming here. The restaurant feels like a time capsule as it reminds me of eating a cooked meal at home. Everything on the menu is delicious. The staff is always friendly and attentive to whatever you need.

This ain't No Taco Bell !! This is the real deal !! Authentic mexican food made the real way. There was so much to choose pn the menu ! I went with one if my standards. Chimichanga. But with pork. The sauce was flavorful. All the sides were perfect. There are so many dishes and very few days. I will be back tomorrow to see how they do seafood. Well done DeCampana !!

This has been our "go to" Mexican spot for about 15 years. We were there on Sunday and had an awful experience. I don't know if the restaurant has changed hands or what the deal was. We walked in and the front counter/bar was empty. We waited several minutes for anyone to come by and were told we would be welcomed in just a few more minutes. Finally, someone came to seat us. We waited for at least ten minutes before someone came with water, chips and salsa. We waited another ten for a very surly server to take our drink order. It took another ten minutes for our drinks to arrive, while we sat and watched three people standing in the bar area working on their cell phones. We finally ordered our dinner and were not impressed. My husband ordered the "special" which was three empanadas and some veggies. The empanadas were totally over-cooked and looked awful. I asked for no beans and extra rice on my plate of enchiladas, and was greeted with a plate full of beans. The restaurant wasn't even half full, and appeared to have a full staff. Not one person in the place seemed to care about service, quality of food, or overall experience. I am not sure I will be back.

The drinks were great! The food and service were just ok. Maybe because it was an hour before closing when we arrived.

This has been my go to Mexican restaurant for years and literally everything on the menu is fantastic. When you go here they make you feel like family and a few of my go-to items are the steak fajitas, nachos, and the margarita's. If you find a better Mexican restaurant in DuPage county please let me know.

This is our neighborhood Mexican spot with a bar. It's been here forever and it's good comfort food. The salsas are good and the nachos are fantastic with a margarita. It's not high end dining. It's having a long day and want to eat something tasty and have a drink dining. Went in today to pick up my weekly order of a huge salsa and chips for home and an older couple was absolutely ripping apart the waitress over too much sugar in their dressings. From where I could see, the poor woman had already brought them three different kinds, including one that she said, had no sugar in it per the cooks. They would not have it, and kept making a huge stink, telling her they have been coming to the restaurant longer than she was alive, etc. So I stepped forward told them to get out and find someone else to harass. They were just awful and the staff handled it so well, doing their best in a situation where they just couldn't win. If you are diabetic to the point where you said a dressing could kill you, it's probably time to go home, or at the very least bring your own dressing. This is not that kind of restaurant. Just eat your food and be cool! Anyway, this is our spot to go for good eats and drinks. The staff are great and the food is reliable. I can recommend it all the way.

My husband and I lived in Chicago our whole lives. We had a go to Mexican restaurant where we would get their tortilla soup because of how amazing it was. We moved to Bensenville not too long ago and we were craving our go to tortilla soup. But it’s a 50min drive. So we looked for something similar and came across this place. This place shocked us. From the complimentary chips (amazing flavor) and salsa being included even tho it was a take out order, to the kindness of the staff putting the soup toppings on the side so it doesn’t get soggy, we also got a burrito and enchiladas and all we can say is this place IS PHENOMENAL!!! We actually loved it SOOO MUCH MORE than our go to place back in Chicago. We are already so addicted to all the flavors from each item. Most definitely going to become regulars here lol

Delicious food, great service, and so beautiful on the inside. From the outside you would never guess this restaurant was so inviting and large. The gorgeous and traditional decor from ceiling to floors reflect the warmth of Mexican culture beautifully. There is an authenticity felt immediately upon walking in. Unique lighting and different colored walls in each room create nice ambience too. The music was traditional and added more joy and warmth of the restaurant. All of the diners seemed to represent all sorts of people from different backgrounds and of all ages: singles dining solo on their lunch hour, senior couples, a group of seniors exchanging laughs, young couples, friends getting together, coworkers on their lunch hour, families of all sizes, etc- everybody seems to really like this place. For the lunch hour it was extremely busy yet the server, Nicholas, made sure to check back quite often with courtesy and consideration. He, along with other servers, constantly flurried back and forth from the kitchen staying composed, confident, and cheerful despite the insane lunch rush hour. In fact, all of the staff appeared to work very well with each other. Additionally, there was a comfort in the way most people seemed to be at ease enjoying their time dining here. There was no feeling of being rushed and ushered out as fast as possible. Portions were big, and the tortilla chips were the crispy-thin kind ☺️ with spicy salsa. Well, I loved this place. Nothing else to add. Will be back....Parking: Parking was a challenge - it's super busy in this plaza
