I usually go to a pizza place on Irving Park Road in Roselle, but they were getting too pricy, and even charged a fee for using a credit card. I thought I’d give Capone’s a try, and I’m very glad I did!!I love a good sausage topping, and it can either make or break the rest of the pizza. The sausage Capone’s uses is tasty and not rubbery, as it can be with some other places.It was perfect.The sauce is has just the right amount of tanginess, and the crust is superb.The lady that answered the phone to take my order was very pleasant and patient (I had a few questions) and she even offered me free mozzarella sticks or a discount.There was no additional fee for using my credit card, and service was prompt (I picked up my pizza).The inside decor is warm, cheerful and quaint. Extremely cozy.I could definitely see eating there.I normally don’t write reviews, but my experience there was so pleasant, from the time I called to place the order, to taking the last bite of my final slice, that I felt compelled to.If they were open today (New Year’s Day) I would be ordering another pizza, since my son wasn’t home to enjoy it yesterday. : )5 stars*****

I placed a takeout order: stuffed artichoke, bruschetta, chicken francaise, grilled vegetables and garlic bread. The artichoke was OK. The bruschetta was so heavy with huge pieces of red onion and unripe cut tomato that it was inedible. The chicken franchise was awful, tasteless and dry, in a watery flavorless sauce on overdone pasta. The side of grilled vegetables which was SEVEN dollars consisted of a few pieces of mushy broccoli, a handful of peas, a couple of mushrooms and some cut carrot that was NOT grilled, horrible. The garlic bread which was $3.50 consisted of a split sausage roll with garlic butter, not the crusty loaf that is pictured in the menu. Very bad food ! $47 total bill.
A quaint place with terrific food and the friendliest owners and staff that you will ever meet! Make sure you call for a reservation because it's not that big of a place.

I waited for 45 minutes in Capones after ordering on-line. System said it would be ready at 6:36 pm. Instead, they brought it out at 7:15pm. The on-line system is the problem. They are a third party that apparently faxes an order to the pizza place after you order. We have had a similar problem with other local pizza places. My advice? Call in your order and skip the on-line system.

The service and the food are outstanding. Very few tables as it is mostly a take out Pizza place. Eating inside takes you back in time to places that served great food and plenty of it with small tables and an open kitchen. Reservations are a must if you plan on eating in. The menu is extensive and has reasonably priced items.

I call this place a happy accident. We went to the wrong place, but it tuned out really well. The service was really great. The stuffed pizza is EXCELLENT!! Atmosphere got 4 stars instead of 5 because it's a small spot, so it's a bit noisy (from the kitchen). But I won't let that stop me from going there again.
