RAW FOOD HERE GOT ME and others SICK FOR TWO WHOLE DAYS!!!Eating raw food in the city should be a big warning, I don’t think they take proper precautions for this type of food here for sure. Coming from a big city, I’ve never had issues getting sick from sushi before until I came to this restaurant. Ordered their sushi and roll platter, the Taste was alright for this town. The place itself is nice, ambience is great! Unfortunately their raw food is the last thing I ever want to come here for again. Staff was very helpful and engaging! Great music choice , movie selection as well. Their bar looks amazing too!

My dining experience at Anju Above tonight was nothing short of delightful. From the moment I walked into the restaurant, I was captivated by its elegance. Service was prompt; we were seated quickly, and our server was incredibly friendly and knowledgeable about the menu. For starters, I indulged in the Fried Veggie Dumplings and a Yellowfin Tuna Hand Roll. The fried dumplings were a true delight, perfectly crispy on the outside and bursting with flavor. They paired wonderfully with the tangy pickled vegetables on top. As for the hand roll, it was a taste sensation. The yellowfin tuna practically melted in my mouth.Moving on to the main course, I was thoroughly impressed with the Pork Belly Ramen. The pork belly was exceptionally flavorful and tender, adding a richness to the dish. What truly elevated the ramen experience was the side of sweet and spicy sauce, which, when added to the broth, turned the dish into something extraordinary. The soft-boiled egg was cooked to perfection and seasoned just right, while the mushrooms added a depth of flavor that left me craving more.Overall, my dining experience at Anju Above exceeded my expectations.I'll definitely be returning to explore more of their enticing menu options.

This is an extension of Epiphany Farms. Same menu with a more casual vibe. Food and particularly the pizza is great. Drinks are great too. Probably my number 2 in Bloomington

I was looking forward to going to Anju Above as I had never been. We were a party of 7 and instead of the food coming to the table all at once it came out 1 at a time. Each meal came what seemed to be 5 minute intervals. I ordered one of the rustic pizzas which would have never come to the table, if I didn't ask the waiter where my pizza was. It appears my order was forgotten about. while I was waiting for my pizza the manager asked how the food was. I said I don't know cas I never got it. When my pizza finally arrived at my table it was horrible. It was rushed out as the dough wasn't cooked through. No apologies nothing. Poor service and food was forgettable. I'll never go back.

You need to eat at this restaurant if you're in Bloomington, the vibe, food, and service is amazing. The theme of the restaurant is small plates you can share which allows you to try a wide variety on the menu like Chinese dumplings and buns to Japanese sushi and Raman to Italian pizza to American donuts. Out of everything we ordered the tofu donuts were the best and I would come back just for those donuts. But the steamed pork buns, vegetables dumplings, margarita pizza, and mussels were excellent. There's plenty more on the menu that I want to try so for sure we'll be back.

Love the farm to face, dumplings and el Diablo pizza! Eat there often (or order items when at Epiphany). Good food, good options. I also always enjoy the house punch, which changes often!

Love this place. Awesome food and awesome people! Every single one of their restaurants is great.

Busy busy place, but great service, and the food was unique and delicious. Great presentation. Service was good, and the servers were operating under busy circumstances. I do highly recommend it, especially for something different, but guaranteed quality deliciousness.

Good parking space. I would not go again for sushi. Very pricey for the portion served. Not impressed at all.

1 word PHENOMENAL. Only issue was a customer that was intoxicated fell into me at the table and no one tried to make it better. They were busy though. I caught the drunken lady as she fell into me felt bad for her helped her to her seat and get her some water.

Edited December 2023: I sadly can no longer recommend Anju after enjoying it for years. Ordered takeout and received the most disgusting, inedible wings I’ve ever had — huge but full of fat and tough chicken. And this wasn’t a fluke, this was the second time in three visits the wings have been bad. I contacted the restaurant directly via email but I guess they don’t care. Prices keep increasing and the food quality keeps going down. It’s simply not worth the money anymore.Previous 5 star review from 4 years ago: Probably my favorite restaurant in Bloomington. Favorites include the Yuba, Pork Dumplings, Pork Buns, and Korean BBQ Wings. Everything is always fresh and delicious and service has always been good.
