best restaurant I have ever been to. Cookie Monster ice cream is unbelievable. Burger and fries were pretty incredible too. As a college student i will now be a regular at this fantabulous establishment, hats off to the owner of Carls Ice Cream.

I got two grape slushies from this location today that they were served to me which looks like vanilla ice cream mixed with grape.I called l back to inquire why and the young lady said that they're slushy mix with it.I purchased stuff from this location for decadesand never received one that looks like this.

It really is the best ice cream in town. This is the original, walk-up only store. It is seasonal, so be sure to check their website before coming here. This visit was fast and inexpensive with friendly people and good desert.

Absolutely terrible customer service for mediocre ice cream. I rented out an ice cream cart for my daughters 3rd birthday and spoke with Nikki who handles the cart rentals, I confirmed multiple times that the event was from 3pm-6pm. Wade (the owner) showed up an hour late to the party and was extremely rude to me in front of my guest during set up. For someone that has owned this ice cream shop since 1987 you’d think he would know a thing or two about being professional but that is definitely not the case. This business will never receive another dollar from me or any of my friends. #GenesIceCreamAllDay

Unprofessional isn’t even the word. Carls was hired to provide an ice-cream cart for my Nieces 3rd birthday party that was based all around the ice cream theme. It was clarified multiply times the party was from 3-6. We called multiple times day of the party and FINALLY got answer on the 5th call stating that the owner was on his way and HOUR late. Upon arrival he was rude and said he would be back to get the cart at 5. Yet another mess up on their end. Our response was no we rented the cart from 3p-6p and his response was “oh well I had other plans tonight but I guess I’ll be back at 6” tossed the invoice on top of the cart disrespectfully in front of all family and friends. The cones that were ordered were not present, we had to wait another 30/45 mins for the ice cream to soften up a bit for everyone to enjoy. I highly recommend contacting genes or another local ice cream shop for any special or private events as this was not handed with the grace, care and professionalism that it should have.I’ve frequented these ice cream shops on numerous occasions and always received mediocre customer service including cashiers eating at the register while speaking to guests and taking their money. It was just a complete turn off. To the owner this is just a way for him to make some money it doesn’t seem like he truly cares about serving ice cream to kids and families in the community. I’ve never met someone with such a bad attitude and expecting to be paid for his horrendous service. #ShopLocal but #ChooseGenes

my companion and I stopped here late morning for ice creams. I had orange creamsicle frozen yogurt and she had butter pecan hard scoop ice cream. Very cold and very tasty! We sat at the benches in the shade and watched cars go by. They have a LOT of choices in soft, hard, and yogurt, plus novelties that aren't scooped or swirled.
