I heard good things about this restaurant so we decided to try it for the first time. The only positive thing that I have to say is the waiter was so nice! We ordered steak fajitas, famous Eric’s burrito, what was supposed to be kids meals Mac n cheese & soft shell beef taco, chicken nuggets and fries. The menu did not have kids meals listed but claimed to be a family restaurant. The steak was so tuff that it couldn’t be chewed, beef tasted old and chicken nuggets were the worst thing I’ve ever tasted. Walked out spending $78 for not even half eaten meals! We will NOT be returning nor recommend this test to anyone.

So after two visits and an attempted 3rd visit, it’s time to leave my review and never think about going back to this place again.1st Visit- Miller Park locationWe just moved to the area in May and started checking out local Mexican restaurants. We went to Eric’s next to Miller Park on a Friday evening, their restaurant side was closed leaving only the bar side open. The bartender was really nice and made us some awesome margaritas. It was lonely in there and she was going to close early. She was amazing, I forgot her name, but she took care of us. The food was not so great, I ate it and didn’t complain. I had steak enchiladas, the sauce and flavor was there but the carne asada was old, crispy and burnt. Overall customer service was 5 stars.2nd Visit- Eric’s 2 off Market StPulled up to this place about 10:30am on a Sunday. Parking lot trashed and littered with beer cans and broken beer bottles. We walk in, sit down and order mimosas. We asked why the parking lot was trashed, the waitress said the staff had a late night party the night before. The waitress was kind but she didn’t know what a Mimosa was. ?‍♀️ so I said it’s champagne and OJ. She said she was out of OJ so I said make it with cran juice. She comes back with cognac in a wine glass with cran juice. ???. She said the bottle read it was a champagne ???. So I let it go and drank it. The menu did not look appetizing at all, place was lonely just like the Miller park location. After seeing the parking lot, the menu and the so called mimosa, we paid our tab and left.Attempted visit number 3- Miller Park locationToday I called the restaurant at 6:30pm to see if they were open, I wanted to go back for the drinks and friendly service from that girl lol, not the food. I spoke to who I assume was the owner, I asked if they were open, he replied that the kitchen was closed and that he had his friends at the bar and was closing the doors. ?‍♀️ I guess I’m not going there today or probably ever again. What a lousy business, this is why I am rating them 1 star.Don’t go there.

They don’t deserve any stars but I’m leaving one to leave a comment. We placed an online order for a few tacos. Got there to pick up the order and they were CLOSED 2 hours before they were supposed to be. But they took my money anyway. We figured it was an error in their system and the money would be returned since the order never really got processed. The next day still no money was returned, not even by the end of the day. We tried calling all day the next day with no answer just to find out they were closed then too. I don’t understand how they can process an order and take your money when they are closed. We had to call the bank and dispute the charge to get our money back.

Steak was good but chicken bland. Chips were not very good and those and the chimichangas seemed over fried. Margarita was not great either

My friend and I stayed at the hotel right across the lot from Eric's and had two meals there, a dinner and breakfast. Both were excellent and even included a great conversation with the owner after breakfast. Good homemade food. Convenient to hotels and interstate. Highly recommend.

Great service and great food. I was having a hard time thinking of what to get because I’m vegetarian. I let the cashier know and she suggested the tamales. They were amazing. They had NO MEAT!

The chicken and steak tacos were good

Place hasn’t been open for months. Hit or miss when it was. Looks like people are getting this location mixed up with the other Eric’s. Which seems to be just as in reliable in service and qualityOne star is being generous

We stopped in for an early dinner and was very pleased. The service was awesome, and that burrito (Eric's special), wow! We will be stopping by every possible chance.

Driving thru from MN to KY, stayed overnight in Bloomington/Normal. Arrived later in the evening and the closest restaurant to the hotel and open for another 45 minutes was Eric's.We were greeted warmly by Dawayne and seated immediately. Ordered the grilled chicken sandwich which was wonderful. Very nice side salad included. Dwayne was all over it. Made sure we had what we needed and always with a smile.
