The bartenders are slow, the bouncers are rude, and their live music is always awful. I would never recommend going here. It’s where a bunch of creepy old men like to go to hit on college girls.

Went before it got busy. Had a Honey Whiskey w Lemonade. We had the dance floor to ourselves. We practiced some country swing w country music.Parking: Parking can be difficult on busy nights when the ISU students are back

The bouncer denied me and my friend when we were both 22. He said that we couldn’t get in because at that point in the night it was “girls only”. I think it’s ridiculous to dealwith this kind of stuff today. He also denied my friend and said “you’re black get out of here”. Unbelievable that this kind of stuff would happen.

Everyone in Athletics got kicked out because someone didn’t follow the proper stage procedures during karaoke when we couldn’t hear what Security said.. Hardos. 500+ employees will never come back here

This bar used to be friendly to bikers. As a motorcyclist / biker I carry a backpack. Dan as well as the door dude stopped me and demanded that my pak was searched. As I have nothing to hide I consented reluctantly. At this point I would like every purse searched. I feel that this was discrimination. And a breach of my constitutional rights. That I gave up for them.

Six String's security @ the Brushville concert Saturday was terrible!!! A security guard kicked me out of the concert because he thought I was drunk when I was actually having a really bad dizzy spell. Plus he said he didn't care about my situation. I felt so disrespected, I have mild Cerebral Palsy & the security guard said he didn't care. The security guards treated me like crap & even told the lead singer of Brushville's mom she wouldn't be allowed back inside if she went out to get me. I was allowed back in thanks to someone who works for Brushville. I've never had an issue with the security before, but after what happened...I don't think I'll be returning to Six Strings anytime soon unless I get an apology from the owner & the security guards.

The service is terrible. Went with a group of about 10 people last night, one of our friends in the group had to pay our cover fee due to none of us having cash on us, once he gave the bouncer a $20 for 4 of us to get in, the bouncer declined him entry to the bar. The reason was, “he laughed and i didn’t like his attitude”. I would never go here unless you feel like being disrespected every second.

I am a limousine driver. I was driving clients around Bloomington/Normal for a booze cruise. My clients were doing a pub crawl. I needed to use the restroom and I was told by the VERY rude doorman I had to pay. I said “sir, I just need to use the restroom.” He rudely said no. When I picked my clients up, they asked if they could go to Six Strings (as they had never been,) I made it a point to advise my clients that the staff was very rude. They decided on another destination. VERY POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE!!!
Best place to do karaoke on a professional stage with sound and light!!!! Nothing like it anywhere else in BLO-NO!!!

Six Strings is an amazing bar with a great amosphere, also great live bands. But if you ever get the bar tender with backwards ballcap he sucks and you will wait 30 minutes for him to even talk to you. The other bar renders are great at serving and their situational awareness is good, you should always serve the people who have been there longer without them being disrespectful, but backwards ball cap is a terrible bartender and has made my experience at Six Strings less enjoyable.

This establishment does not follow covid-19 regulations. The bouncer called me a "mulignan" incredible disrespectful. I would never chose this country karaoke bar to spend my Friday night. Truly dissatisfied and appalled at the language used.
