my first time at red ribbon, recommended by a friend! i honestly thought this was going to be a fresh bakery, not baked goods in packages... but wanted to try nevertheless! i got the variety pack and upon going to eat one butter mamon, my husband saw there was mold on it. ? the expiration date was 4/15, and it is 4/13 as of today. since the mamons and ensaimadas come prepackaged, there really is no way for customers or employees to see the quality of these items. i called and let them know to maybe pull the variety packs off the shelves, but as i mentioned, the mamons & ensaimadas come (presumably) shipped ready to place on shelves..... not made in store like the cakes. this is definitely a production mistake, not the store itself. but just wanted to warn any future customers! try the FRESH items - not the prepackaged ones!

I ordered baked goods from here expecting fresh baked goods. I got prepackaged foods that were obviously refrigerated and the empanada was microwaved and tasted mushy. Extremely disappointing, I don't see the difference between this place and and buying premade desserts at a grocery store. The "moist" chocolate cake was crumbly and stale, the ube cake tastes like a regular cake, no ube taste.

Food selection may not be much, but the ube milk, chocolate mousse and empanadas are some of my favorites.In a recent visit, I’ve noticed a newer worker and she’s great!! Very friendly and helpful!Store is nice and clean, but could use some music inside.

The tattoed girl on the counter should not be there. She probably worked in a bar before. Even the way she answers the phone is rough. She didnt even give me lemon for my palabok. Too bad manners cant be learned
Today we drove from Streamwood to Bolingbrook for Red Ribbon Bakeshop. We grew up enjoying their cakes and pastries.We ordered to go, chicken empanadas a slice of custard Ube cake and a slice of mango supreme cake (they sold out of the Ube and mango roll).On our drive home we ate the chicken empanadas. It was hot and was soooo good. Yes, it is worth the drive. However, when we ate the mango cake we were very disappointed. The fresh mango topping tasted like fish! So disgusting OMG did the staff forgot to wash their knife or the chopping board with soap before cutting/chopping the mangoes that goes on top of the cake! I guest we will be ordering our Christmas dessert at the Elston branch.The service staff was pleasant and the shop was clean.

My Family and I were there last 4th of July weekend. We are from Toronto, Canada and wanted to bring some goodies for Our friends back home. We supposed to go to their Chicago Branch because the Seafood City is there also but since We are already hungry We just visited this Bolingbrook location and oh boy This place did not disappoint. First the smell of the store was really good We actually wanted to try everything!haha Then the service was exceptional. The lady who I believed the Manager was very fast and friendly! She was alone but still She managed to serve us all efficiently! She actually also have a Complaint from another Customer from the previous day but She was so composed and calm that's where I figured that She is the Manager there! Kudos Red Ribbon for hiring her! Too bad I wasn't able to get her name! She actually even give us some ice for Our cooler so Our Mamon will stay fresh. Highly recommended for the excellent service!!

Came there for the cheesy ensaimada and ube ensaimada. They suggested the yema cake slice and it was wonderful!! Clean and friendly staff!
