“I went today…I did not get the name of the person who attended us. I believe he is the owner, he is very nice and welcoming. The chefs are kind with good vibes too. Overall Good vibes. The chicken is not dry, and the friendly fire fries are very well served and delicious. I know a lot of food places get promoted in the city, but I am happy to know that there is a good chicken place here in Forest Park, IL. The food is well priced, and not expensive. “Classic diner on historic route 66. Chicken basket was plentiful and priced right. Chicken was the juiciest fried chicken I have ever had, but not the best tasting. Still very good! The sides were off the chain. Great soup, mashed potatoes are a must have and the green beans were homemade. The service was a bit lack luster, but tolerable considering how dining out is these days (post covid). Definitely worth a visit.“

“First time going today. Took the family because I saw they served food for kids too. They have a deal 2 for $10 chicken sandwich so we tried that out. Bought large fries which was enough for all of us plus some, Mac n cheese for my son and another chicken sandwich for my daughter. Paid under $40 with drinks. I tried the hot chicken sandwich with coleslaw and I’ll tell you what, it’s very good on par with fry the coop, and I love fry the coop, the fries were crispy and seasoned I had them mild, also great flavor. Mac n cheese was delicious. I can say that this is one of my go tos for now on for hot chicken sandwich, this and fry the coop. I highly recommend this place. The owners were nice as well. “I went there today and I had to write a review. I found them on Google and live in a near by neighborhood. The food is delicious!!!! “First let me say when arriving, you can smell the food from outside! Walking through the door you meet with plenty of aromas, a relaxed atmosphere and friendly service. The wait time was reasonable price was too. The food overall 8.5 out of ten. I had the salmon dinner and I wish they had grilled it but it was still great! Can’t forget the bev, I had the Jamaican juice and it was a hit. 8.5 out of ten must try again“
